Mission: Episode 108 – Tragedies, Fortunes, and an Endgame

A few eyes were on Fulvia's face as she stepped through the doors of the stations medbay.

Her romulan face frowned at the number of looks she was getting. The sooner she had her nova roman face back the better. Giving a polite smile to the receptionist she politely asked. " Hello I'm Lieutenant Fulvia here for my health checkup before the identity restoration surgery."

The nurse smiled. "Wonderful. You'll be seeing..." She checked the chart, her voice flat. "Oh dear. You'll be seeing Doctor Hades."

" Thank you." Fulvia said politely taking a seat and doing her best to not be noticed. She fumbled in her pocket for a locket containing a picture of the very unusual family she was part of. She missed all of them but especially the daughter she never thought she could have.

Within a few minutes the nurse was back. "The doctor will be in shortly. Follow me to the exam room and I'll get us started."

Fulvia nodded as she tucked the locket back into the pocket before following the nurse.

The nurse ushered her into the main back. "If you'll lay back I'll do a quick scan and then draw some blood." She prepared the scanning equipment setting it for genetic ID.

Fulvia nodded as she layed down on the biobed. This wasn't her first time having this done.

"So while the scans run anything you are worried about health-wise?"

The intelligence operative shook her head. " None that I can think of."

Just as she finished speaking the door opened. Hades, not his usual self, came in. "My apologies I was delayed." He accepted the PaDD the nurse offered. "Excellent. Tests are going well. Are you ready to be yourself again?"

" Definitely. These ridges have been itching since I had them added and I will die happy if I never have to eat another Romulan combat ration. " Fulvia replied calmly as she ran her finger along the right one.

"Well the Romulans are tricky but not that bad. They grow on you." He stood and looked over the readings. "Alright we can proceed right away if you wish."

Fulvia nodded politely to indicate she wanted to proceed.

The procedure itself did not take long. It was complex but proceeded with few issues. Within two hours Fulvia was in recovery and that is now were Hades and the nurses waiting to ensure she woke and was not in pain.

Fulvia groaned slightly as she felt a feeling return to her body. Her eyes opened as she found herself in the recovery ward. though she was still groggy she could feel her face was back to normal. " Did everything go okay?" she asked the doctor.

"Perfect. You are yourself again." He handed her a mirror. "How are you feeling."

A smile spread over Fulvia's face at the sight of her familiar roman face. " I'm feeling....." She said before the sudden urge to gag almost made her trow up. " Sorry about that.." She said to the dcotor.

"There was something else in your test results that .... I am not sure you are aware of."

A look of concern shot over Fulvia's face as she heard the words. " What showed up."

"It appears that you are...pregnant."

Fulvia was silent for a while before a smile and a laugh escaped her lips. " That lizard. I said we'd have another baby when we reunited, but I didn't think it would be that quick." She said moving her hand over her belly.

He allowed himself a small smile. "I take it this is happy news?"

" Yes." Was her reply with a smile spread over her face

"If you are alright with it I will do a detailed scan to ensure that the baby is fine"

" That's fine. The scans of my first daughter are in my file if you need to compare." Fulvia added remembering the shock of finding out she was pregnant with Amrar.

Hades turned away and picked up a tricorder. This one was larger then the one he used regularly. As the machine beeped and clicked away his eyes devoured the results. His mind started making connections to what things should look like. "Hmmm. Nothing drastic but I would like you to take some vitamin shots."

" Got it. Anything else you'd recommend?" The nova roman asked

"Just some rest and relaxation. The pregnancy is still early and the first three months are vital. Just rest."

" I'll do my best doctor." She said as she began to slid of the biobed.

"Well then. We're done here."

With a smile on her face Fulvia left the medbay thinking of what she'd be telling her knight in red armor.
