Settling Back in

Mission: Episode 109 - The Dust Settles
Location: O’Riley Quarters

Olivia sat at her desk doing her best to try and filter out some of the less important counselling requests that could wait, trying to give Ariana less of a workload. Being a Counsellor herself she was willing to take some of the workload if Ariana needed it. Her role as counsellors aide would allow it.

Her mind drifted back to TJ’s arrival home after his time off station with the fleet.

~ After the fleet returned ~

Tim had been busy running repair diagnostics all day and he was exhausted. Since retaking the station so much work needed to be done and it seemed like he was working around the clock, and getting very little sleep and not seeing enough of his family. Heading back to his quarters for a quick cleanup and some rest he was hoping to find Olivia their, but was entering the quarters he noticed that is was still quite. Laying back on the couch he closed his eyes, and waited for Olivia and the twins to get back.

Returning home was an emotional experience, Olivia had spent her whole time worrying about TJ being off station. As she walked inside she saw TJ lying on the sofa, “Hey handsome” she smiled as she lifted the twins from their pram and put them down in their playpen to play. “I have missed you!”

Tim walked over and gave Olivia a kiss as he put his arms around her, “I missed you as well, how are the twins doing.” Tim smiled as he looked down at both of them it seemed like it been forever since he saw them last. Being on two different ship was hard for his family but he knew that was sometimes part of the job.

Olivia smiled as their son and daughter both playing with their soft toys. This was supposed to be where we could settle and raise them not forever be off station.”

“I agree it would be nice that we could settle in one spot without having to always be on the go”. Tim smiled. “Only was to do that is if we we on a starbase all the time or getting reassigned to another facility where we would have to go on to many assignments”

“We’ll manage I’m sure we will” Olivia smiled.

~ Now ~

At least now things were more settled and life was starting again onboard the station. People had gotten back to their businesses and livelihoods, the crew were back at their posts doing their jobs and Olivia didn’t have to worry about her family being separated again anytime soon.

Now all she could do was hope that it would stay that way.
