Mission: Episode 105 – Evacuation
Location: Mess Hall
Timeline: MD1 1405 hrs

"I am not trying to be to forward, but do you want to come over, and watch a movie or play cards or talk?" Dustin asked, as he started to walk with Aubrey. They had just completed dinner.

“Yes,” Aubrey said with a smile. She was hoping he would ask her. “I like playing cards as well as movies so I am good with either.”

"Given what has happened, I don't want to be alone, after work. Best to be near someone you care about, during times like these." Dustin suggested to her.

“I feel the same way,” Aubrey confessed. “There is too much time to think and I don’t know why but it’s lonely. I want to be with you.”

"Normal reaction, for both of us." Dustin said, as he went on. "When things settle down, will make plans to get together." Dustin suggested to Aubrey.

“I would like that,” Aubrey smiled at him. She wanted him to know that she was ready to spend more time with him.

"Me too, so after we settle in, my place or yours?" Dustin asked, with a big grin on his face. He was eager to spend time with her. He did not want to be alone.

“Yours,” Aubrey smiled. She was excited about getting together. “Want me to bring anything?”

Now that was a loaded question. He just smiled. And decided to remain silent for a moment. "Just yourself," he said, trying to keep his hormones in check.

“Sounds good,” Aubrey murmured. “I will be looking forward to it. “ She was already contemplating what she could wear to entice him into moving forward some.

"Me too." Dustin said, a little surprised by her answer. But he liked it.

“I wonder what the plan is,” Aubrey said to him. “Where we are going and what our next move will be.”

"I don't know, but I assume Admiral Bremer is working on it, as we speak." Dustin said, wondering the same thing that she was wondering about.

“We will find out soon enough,” Aubrey nodded. “Our ship is in top condition, well stocked so we are set for whatever is decided.”

"I have a feeling we will be out here for a while." Dustin said. "So we better make the most of it."

“That is what I want to do,” Aubrey said softly. “I am ready to really live without worries.”

"Wouldn't we all, I'm right there with you." Dustin said, with a big grin. He was trying to hide his nervousness.

“That is all we need,” Aubrey replied with a smile. “Having each other will keep us going.”

"Agreed." Dustin said, as the scene starts to fade away.
