Episode 103 - In The Darkest Days...
Location: USS Alcatraz
Timeline: MD3 0610hrs

Hexx was true to his word. He’s managed to get aboard a worker bee and piloted out to the USS Alcatraz and beam aboard. The ship was powered up and only had a skeleton crew of ten engineers finishing minor repairs from the ship’s long decommission time.
Hexx made his way to the Bridge. Controls were locked out. He didn’t dare try his neuro-implant, Starfleet ships didn’t like those much and often sent a nasty feedback. Lucky for him, the command codes for the base’s drydock worked and he was able to gain access to the ship’s systems.
Hexx flooded the ship with neurozine gas and knocked out the engineers. He then tapped in a few commands into the flight control station and moved the ship closer to the starbase and beamed the engineers to sick bay. With the remains of the 5th Combined Fleet also beaming over wounded these engineers would be lost in the shuffle until he’d cleared the area.
Hexx then disabled the ship’s transponder before moving away from Starbase 400 and toward his rendezvous with the purple eyed woman that had paid him. It was an easy job, something he’d done before, and with the confusion going on with all the confusion going on with the damaged ships arriving it made it all easier for him.
An hour later the USS Alcatraz arrived at the rendezvous spot. Hexx propped his feet up on the flight control console and leaned back in the chair waiting.
Splendora had been traveling with Braxton. She couldn't wait to get her hands on the ship. She had some questions before the final sale of course. "How long until we reach her?" She asked Braxton.
"She'll be in view shortly." His hands flew over the console. "We're entering visual range." He keyed a few controls and the ship came into view. "She's a beauty."
Splendora eyed the ship. She tried to temper her excitement. "Hail him."
Braxton sent a hail and waited.
Hexx smirked when the hail came in. He took his feet off the console, tapped in a few commands, then got up and walked back to the Captain's Chair, took a seat, and opened the channel. "Stand by to beam over. We need to leave the system before they realize the ship is missing."
He closed the channel and waited for them to beam over.
She ordered Braxton to head back and she took her place on the transporter PADD. Once she got the clear she touched her finger to an arm band and felt the pull of the transporter. Within seconds her body disbursed into a shimmery mess and reformed on the ship facing Hexx. "You work fast," she said by way of greeting.
"In my line of work, you have to be. Besides, the situation presented itself and I couldn't pass it up." Hexx said with a smirk. "Dare I ask, what do you have in mind?"
"I need this retrofitted. This ship will be bounty hunting vessel." She sighed, "I assume this was obtained in less then kosher ways?"
"The term is borrowed." Hexx smiled, "What kind of retrofitting did you have in mind?"
She thought a moment. A new plan was in order. They would be looking for this ship. "Well since this was borrowed... one more question...this was decommissioned right? It would never have been used again?"
Hexx was starting to wonder how well thought out this plan was. "It was, but when the war started Starfleet re-commissioned her. She was just completing work when the engineering team had to take a nap back on the starbase. I've deactivated the transponder so it'll be harder to track."
Hexx took a seat and looked up at the woman, "What exactly did you have in mind?"
"Well that does complicate things because I'll need it on the station." Lucky for her she had a plan. "Well we go to plan B." She opened the bag she had slung over her shoulder. "Alright," she said tossing him a device. "You start on one end I will start on the other. I need a detailed holo of this ship."
Hexx raised an eyebrow, wondering what she had in mind. "Alright." He replied as he started to scan.
The scan was long, it took a good two hours for them to meet again. "Now...how would you like to double the money your getting." Gods knew this would eat through her savings.
"What are you planning? Hexx asked. Even he was now a little concerned.
"I need a ship that I can use with the Federation. So I'll need a ship...honestly bought of course and this one needs to get back to Starfleet." She sighed. "Think you can sneak her back in?"
Hexx lowered his head and shook it. "That's a little harder, but it can be done. So you want a small ship that's recently decommissioned that you can buy? There's an older Aerie Class vessel at Starbase 35 that I'm sure I can get my hands on. Will that work?"
"Perfect! With the scans we got today from this one we can adapt the decommissioned one. My engineer is...spooky good." She studied Hexx. "Say have you ever thought of being a bounty hunter?"
Hexx laughed. "Miss, in my time I've been just about everything. Good guy, bad guy, and somewhere in the middle, but a bounty hunter is one thing I haven't tried...yet."
