Mission: Episode 102 - The Rising Tide of War
Location: O’Riley Quarters
Timeline: MD01 2215 hrs

It had been a long day! Olivia had gotten herself settled into her routine split between training with the marines and her duties as Counsellor’s aide. She yawned as she put down the PADD that contained notes she had to transcribe into personnel files. Relaxing back on the sofa she smiled as she looked at TJ, who’d fallen asleep in his chair and was busy snoring his head off!

She remembered back to earlier in the day when she’d bumped Freya Ross.

~ Earlier that day ~

Freya was looking in the window of one of the few baby shops on the promenade, luckily it had just about everything you could want for a baby or young child. She and Kaden had already bought quite a lot of things and they had a crib but she still liked to look.

“Cute aren’t they?” Olivia smiled as she joined Freya looking in the window. I quite like that outfit over there but I seriously can’t justify buying it when I already have so many clothes for the twins!!”

Freya grinned. “Well, we’ve got some things but I’m not due for another....Ohh eight months or so!” She grinned.

“In that case Congratulations are in order!” Olivia grinned. “I’m Olivia by the way. The new Counsellor’s Aide and Marine Medic. I remember seeing you at the wedding that they were gracious enough to allow us to attend.”

“Yes I remember! It’s nice to see you again Olivia.” Freya smiled. “I’m Freya Ross, Admin Assistant to Colonel Ross and Marine Counsellor.” She smiled warmly. “At least now I know whose replacing me as Medic!”

“Ah so you were the Medic?” Olivia grinned. “It came as something of a shock to General Hurd that he’s been assigned a Starfleet Officer as his replacement Medic. He’s got me training with the marines as often as possible to ensure I’m up to the job!!” She grinned.

“The General seems tough, but trust me he’s a fair man. He’ll watch out for you. He’s put me on maternity leave until two months after the birth of the baby! He wants Kaden and I to enjoy the pregnancy and our first baby.”

“Then I’d take the time and enjoy it. My pregnancy was anything but easy, but then it did trigger off uncontrolled telekinesis that ended up injuring some people! They labelled me the Witch of Heyerdahl Station!” She shook her head. “I can’t have any more children but I have two wonderful little ones so that’s good enough for me.”

“Are you settling in okay here?” Freya looked at Olivia curiously. “Is there anything you need?”

Olivia paused to think. “I think I’ve got everything for now and we’ve settled in quite well. TJ is enjoying his new duties and we’re used to Starbase life. I’ll let you know if I think of anything though.

Freya nodded. “I hope Kaden isn’t pushing you too hard in your training? I know he pushes pretty hard when he’s training, he trains me too! How else would I keep this in shape!” She grinned.

“Well I do need to get back in shape after having had the twins!” Olivia grinned. “If he gets me looking as good as you I won’t complain!!” She laughed. “Anyway I should be getting back, I’ve got personnel files to update.”

“Of course” Freya nodded. “If you need any help let me know, I have plenty of free time available.”

Olivia nodded. “Enjoy it while you’ve got it! It sound flies by.” She smiled and headed on her way leaving Freya still staring in the shop window.
