Mission: Mission 74 - Fate, Dissolution, and Demise
Location: Earth, New Orleans
Timeline: Just after Smith's post

OFF: Going to go ahead and post something to follow up Smith’s, and to see if I can get the Marines involved some, they are getting restless… lol

ON:
Mike was surprised and a little worried to see Smith. He knew his CEO was compromised, and his arrival could cause added problems to an already tense situation. Mike tapped Admiral Ross on the shoulder, then put his finger to his own lips, letting Bill know it wasn’t safe to speak.

“Mr. Smith, I wasn’t expecting to see you here, what do you have?†Bremer said as he acknowledged his Chief Engineer.

“No sir, I didn’t either, but this couldn’t wait.†Smith replied.

Mike lead the group over into an allyway. He knew if Smith was here that it meant the Pegasus had arrived in orbit, and Smith’s ‘friends’ had put him up to another task to try to derail their investigating…

“Admiral, um, when we entered orbit, we located a Galaxy Class ship, hiding above the planet’s northern poll, trying to hide it from sensors. There is also a Prometheus class ship, but it’s leaving the area, it’s already out past Mars now, possibly looking for us where we crossed though the sensor grid.†Smith paused.

When Robert paused, Mark had a thought, and said it telepathically to Mike, “…and if Robert beamed down from the Pegasus, it might of given her location away, as well as ours.â€

Mike shook his head, he’d served with Alexander Mark for nearly a decade, knew his Betazoid abilities, but it always made him feel…funny when Mark would speak to him telepathically.

Mike looked at Ross and Andrews, “Could this Galaxy class ship be who found Weatherlight, and were Jellico took Janeway and K’Wor?â€

Both Ross and Andrews shrugged and had an expression on their face saying ‘I don’t know’, as Smith added in a little more info. “Admiral, the ship is the Excalibur.â€

Bremer shook his head, “Calhoun…never have gotten along with that guy. And I’m betting Admiral Shelby is there too.â€

Mike had met McKenzie Calhoun twice before, both times they had butted heads. Bremer was the CO of TF44 in the 4th Fleet at the time, the Fleet’s Intel arm. Calhoun was assigned to the same investigation that Mike was undertaking. Bremer didn’t like the methods that Calhoun used, and Calhoun didn’t like someone else ‘butting in’ on ‘his’ investigation. But, could they actually be behind sending Starfleet Intel to the Romulans, as well as kidnapping?

Bremer looked at Mark and Andrews, pointed at Ross, then motioned them to follow him to whatever ‘safe place’ Ross mention. Now, they needed to not only try to find their missing crewmembers, but find out why the USS Excalibur and its crew where here. The three men walked away quietly.

Bremer then looked back at Smith, “Let’s see what we can find out, know anywhere we can go to get computer access?â€

K’Wor sat alone in a private guest quarters. He wasn’t sure where he was, other than he could see the Earth outside the window and below. After being beamed away from Janeway’s Officer, the Acting-Ensign had only been asked to ‘remain here’ by Admiral Jellico. He wasn’t happy about it, and he wanted out. He wanted to make sure Admiral Janeway was okay, and to try to get a message to his dad.

K’Wor had already tried to access the comm-system though the door panel and the terminal on the small desk in the room, however everything seemed to be locked out. Only the Federation logo appeared on the screen. He paced around the room, then letting his emotions get the better of him he kicked the wall by the door with a loud thud. A moment later, the door quickly opened…

“Ensign, is everything okay?†The Security Guard on duty outside the room asked as he walked in.

“I want to see Admiral Janeway.†K’Wor replied.

“I’m sorry sir, but that is not possible right now, Admiral Jellico’s orders.â€

K’Wor stepped toward the guard, who in turn took a step back in a defensive posture and put his hand on his phaser, “Sir, Admiral Janeway is safe and is meeting with Admiral Jellico, I can not let you out of her, or allow you to speak to her. Please, step back into the room.â€

K’Wor stood there a moment, then took a step back. The door closed and K’Wor turned around and took a seat on the bed. He smirked, now he knew how to get the guard back into the room, and that it was only one guard outside the door.

K’Temoc sat in the CO’s chair. He hadn’t heard from Weatherlight or the Admiral since the Pegasus arrived in orbit. He had Commander Pike keeping a very close eye on the USS Excalibur.

“Captain, someone bypassed security codes for the transporter systems, and beamed down to Earth.†Harrison reported from Tactical.

K’Temoc stood up and walked up the ramp toward her, “Who?â€

“I’m not sure, only a few people have access and ability to.†She quickly pulled up the crew manifest, then had the computer run though it to see who wasn’t onboard the ship right now. Quickly the names popped up, ‘Admiral Bremer, Captain Mark, Captain Andrews, Captain Weatherlight, Lieutenant Smith, Ensign K’Wor’. Bremer Harrison could read them off, K’Temoc cleared the screen and slowly shook his head ‘No’ while looking Alexandra in the eyes.

“Mr. Smith, damnit…where did he beam to?†K’Temoc asked aloud.

“New Orleans†Harrison answered.

She then bought up a map showing the area and overlaid the biosigns in the area of the beamdown point. One was Betazoid, two Human, and one showed as Klingon…mostly. K’Temoc knew then that Smith had joined Bremer on the surface, and that whoever was making Smith jump though hoops probably knew where the Admiral’s party was now too. Question was, who was the fourth person, the second human. Could it be Weatherlight, or someone else? They didn’t know.

K’Temoc nodded as Harrison cleared the screen. So far, only more and more questions were coming up, and no answers.

“Captain, the Excalibur is moving…toward our location.†Pike reported.

“They must of picked up Smith’s transport signal.†Harrison added.

K’Temoc headed back to the Command Chair, “Ensign Driggett, adjust our orbit.†He hit the inter-comm button on the chair arm, “Colonel Borodin, Lieutenant Colonel Ishihara, report to the Bridge.†He closed the comm. the walked forward to the middle of the Bridge, just behind Flight Control and Ops, then turned as he spoke to everyone on the Bridge as a group. “If that ship so much as scans us, I want shields up as we decloak and a weapons lock on them.â€
