Mission: Mission 77 - No Time for the Dishonored

Timeline: Current, en route to the USS Aegean

Captain K`Temoc looked over the data regarding the USS Aegean. He didn't know the CO, but it concerned him that someone had the....guts to attack an Excelsior class vessel deep inside Federation Space.

He didn't believe the Romulans were behind it, just wasn't their style. He also didn't think Clark's group had the material to pull off something like this either. Heck, they usually didn't attack Excelsior Class ships near to their own bases! This...no, this was something...someone different.

"Captain, we're still eight hours out." LtCol. Sosuke reported.

"Very good. Keep us information. Once we're an hour out, we'll go to Red Alert and start active sensor sweeps." K`Temoc ordered.




The Intrepid class ship was also in formation with the rest of the ships in the Task Force. Captain Greenwood had ordered them to Yellow Alert when the distress call came in, just like the rest of the Captains and Commanders had done. Ensign K`Wor kept a close eye on the sensors, but at this range they couldn't pick up the USS Aegean. It concerned him a Federation ships was attacked well within Federation space....




Still eight hours out from the USS Aegean's last known position, Admiral Bremer was in his Ready Room. He was reading over the ship's recommissioning and updates, the Captain's Starfleet Record, as well as crew profiles. Nothing stuck out as odd, no clues though. No one with a grudge against the CO, crew, or the ship. It was a dead end.

Mike leaned back in his chair. It was all so odd. Attacked deep inside Federation space, in a populated area that often had ship traffic passing though, but now, not only did they have a ship that was calling for help, but also no others vessels were in the area then or now...or at least none that were offering to assist or reporting to of seen anything.

Something just didn't sit right with him on this...and there were still eight hours of waiting before he could found out more...
