Mission: Episode 96 - A Visitor From the Past
Location: USS Falcon Lounge
Timeline: MD001, 2236 hrs

Sarah had worked hard to get her promotion up to first officer. It had been one bumpy adventure after another. Getting her from her first assignment, over to the USS Falcon. At the moment, the Falcon, was heading to gorn space. But the night before the crew were partying it up. Was this the best course of action? Sarah wanted to say no, but crew moral is very important to her.

Sarah looked around the room, and noticed how happy her Captain was with Anna Woodhouse. They were a cute pair. Sarah was very happy for them, but a little envious of them at the same time. She had sacrificed a lot to get this point in her life. She wondered how Zeke managed to do it, find someone, and focus on his career?

She was impressed by this, and was a little envious of him. But she was on the right track for a command of her own. She wondered if she had time, to find someone of her own. She stood quietly in the lounge, as she looked to the other officers, and noticed Aubrey bringing Dustin into the room.

Sarah was not sure what to make of Dustin, he seemed a little anti-social. She did not mean to pass judgement on him. But he was sort of cute. She loved his boyish smile. But he noticed that Aubrey was hanging all over him, but he did not seem to return her favor. Not that it really mattered to her, Sarah could not date him. He was a subordent.

She shook the momentarily lapse of judgement, and walked over to the Captain and Anna. "This was a great idea, Captain." Sarah said, with a nervous look on her face.

"You okay Commander?" Zeke asked, liking the softer side of her. At the same time, she seemed a little emotionally compromised.

"Yes Captain, just thinking about our mission, if we were klingons it would be glorious. But for Starfleet, just another scan and tag mission." Sarah said with confidence in her voice. The Falcon, would scan the area, tag things of interest and then report back to Starbase 400. A simple mission. But a necessary one.

"I've learned nothing is ever as simple as a scan and tag mission." Said Zeke with a grin on his face. "Always expect, the unexpected." Suggested Zeke, he grabbed his drink. He was just as nervous and awkward as Dustin, but he swallowing his comfort, trying to make Sarah feel better. "A toast to the Falcon." He said, as he waited for Sarah to cheer his toast.

Sarah grabbed her drink from the bar. "To the Falcon." Simply said Sarah, as she tried to change her nervous smile to a happy one. She slammed down her shot of alcohol. Wow that was a sudden rush, she thought to herself.

Sarah felt unsure of herself. She was confident in her abilities, but it was at parties like this, she wondered what she was doing? Was all of this worth, a life of solitude? Was getting her own ship, worth loosing a chance at romance? Was it to late for her. She was hoping to ask the ship doctor or maybe that counselor lady who was onboard last time. She had to think about her name for a moment, but then it came back to her. Lieutenant Ariana Monroe was her name. The scene starts to fade.
