Timeline: MD2, 1845hrs *Current*
ON:
K’Temoc was not a good mood. He continued to monitor the progress of the Federation Alliance’s fleet maneuvers and was less than impressed. While Admiral Ward’s group, the Combined Third Fleet, had so far, met their objectives some of the ships in the group had fallen out for various reasons. Two from engine troubles, another because the Captain hadn’t followed the plan of action correctly and another due to sensor issues.
The Combined Fifth Fleet under Admiral Kahl Th'Shras had failed and two of their objectives, was running behind, and had a host of other problems.
Then, there was the problems of five different fleets from five different galactic powers working together. The coordination between the Starfleet and Klingons was nearly as good as could be expected. The coordination between the Starfleet and Free Romulan Forces was also good, but between the C'hakilians and Cardassians was none-existent...and the same could be said with between the C'hakilians and Cardassians with the Klingons and Romulans too. It was a little better with Starfleet, but not much. It was no fault of the different Area Commanders for each group, they were working well together and K’Temoc was impressed and even relieved, but it wasn’t translated into the field operations.
A lot of training was needed.
K’Temoc wanted to ready the Yorktown and take over the Combined Fifth Fleet, but he also knew this training needed to be finished. He was in overall command and observing, so he couldn’t get too much hands on.
K’Temoc continued to take notes as Commander Rann stood over to the side in Tactical Operations and quietly shook his head.
A Yeoman handed K'Temoc a PADD, at least it was good news. The new XO of the 181st Tactical Fighter Wing had arrived on Starbase 400. In the grand scheme of things, related to the fleet maneuvers, it wasn't even a blip on the sensors, but for the Station it was huge. The 181st had been without a Wing XO since the battle with Opposition Klingons at Arcanus IV during the Klingon Civil War.
K'Temoc sent a message to 1st Lieutenant Henry Elrod to report to Tactical Operations.
