ON:

Dar walked over to Capt. Harrison as he was instructed to by Adm. Bremer. She appeared to be easy going and intimidating in this social setting he hoped things could stay that way back on duty but knew they wouldn't. Dar took his time trying to study his new boss before introducing himself. "Capt. Harrison? I'm Ens. Dar Vox SB400's new Man-at-Arms." Introductions made he hoped he had the right person as no one but him was in uniform at this function.

She turned to face him, "That's me. Ensign Dar you say? Nice to meet you." She noticed the uniform and smiled, "A little overdressed, aren't you?"

Dar chuckled a little. "Ya I guess so. When I got my orders to report to Adm. Bremer I thought I'd be beamed to the USS Pegasus and reporting for duty in his Ready room. Guess its the last joke Com. Jackson will be playing on me now that I'm off his ship. Anyways I hear your the Chief Security/Tactical Officer or more to the point my new boss. Is there anything I need to know before we get to work?"

He didn't want to force her to think of work now he just wasn't sure what else to talk about. His job had been his life for so long he was lost during this time of R&R.

"Quite honestly, nothing. The only thing I expect is that you are careful and no heroics. That's my department." She smiled at him. "Right now, why don't you relax a bit. Go get a drink and something to eat. When we all get back to the ship, we'll go over a few things."

Dar smiled "I'll do that Captain and I look forward to working with you and meeting the rest of our department." He gave a short wink as he walked away to find a drink. realizing he had winked at his boss once he relaxed, he really needed one. He just hope she didn't take it as an advance he realy wanted to stay on good terms with her.

Alex looked at him as he walked away. She thought to herself, ~Did he just wink at me?~ A small chuckle escaped her lips. She went back to mingling.
