Melody skilfully maneuvered The Blaze through the narrow distances between asteroids..coming close enough to use each asteroids' natural gravity as a sling shot without the jagged peaks from scraping one millimeter of paint off of the Blaze's custom (and expensive) paint job. Two thirds of the way through the astroid field, Melody looked at the sensor readings displayed on the panel in front of her.

"I think we lost them," she said aloud and made some quick adjustments to her sensor array. She was referring to the three Kabrelian ships that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere while she orbited one of the moons of Kabrel as she waited for her contact on the planet to send her safe landing coordinates...something she had hoped to achieve without being noticed by the Kabrel authorities. As soon as the Blaze's sensors alerted her to the approaching Kabrilian ships she had cut off all communications with the planet surface and made a hasty exit. She gave the Kabrilian's a run for their money as her more streamlined ship and her expert piloting skills made her darting in and out of that particularly crowded section of the Kalandra System.

As soon as Melody was in clear space she went to warp 6 and headed out of the system. "Bezar set us up," she said aloud as she scanned the surrounding systems. "He thinks he got away without paying for our services but we'll run into him again. Remember, Blaze...what goes around comes around." She stopped scanning the nearby systems and focused on one...zeroing in on a specific target. "You know, Blaze, old pal....I think we're due for a break. What do you think?" She asked aloud as she made a few adjustments in their heading. "And I think I've found just the place to take it," she added and entered the coordinates and putting the Blaze on autopilot she leaned back in her seat, clasping her hands behind her head and propped her feet on the control panel.

The Blaze dropped out of warp an hour later and Melody sat up and opened a communication's channel. "Starbase 400.....this is Captain Johnson of the freighter The Blaze requesting permission to dock," Melody announced and waited for a reply.
