Suan had been meticulously going over the medical records of the Starfleet personnel in her care.

The files were mostly of the starbase's own staff with flagged files from the various ships assigned here. It meant thousands, of all shapes and sizes and many different species.

As a Romulan, she was most familiar with her cosmic cousins, the Vulcans and of course...Humans. Government propaganda had soured her on humanity practically from birth. Every single tragedy could be blamed on humans and their alliance.

Now of course, their alliance-the Federation- was the ultimate victor. Her world was gone. She was sure a suitable planet would be found to replace Romulus and the Empire would renew itself. However in that time, the Federation and the Klingons would be so dominate in the quadrant that could her people expect to be strong once more?

With most of the senior officers off station on a mission she had not been privy to, the Romulan doctor had made Sickbay a model of efficiency. Those under her authority were punctual, obedient and carried their duty with none of the jovial mannerisms so common with humans.

Sickbay had become a version of Romulus and she was it's praetor.
