Location: Starbase 400
Timeline: MD4, 0700hrs - Current

ON:

Promenade, early morning

The Founder, Vorta, and their Jem'Hadar guards had returned to their ship late the night before. They hadn't heard anything from Odo that would indicate his 'talk' with Kratz was going well or not. All that mattered was bringing the Founder home, and away from the solids.

Even though relations between the Federation and Dominion were better than ever, they were still uneasy, and the Founder knew many in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants still despised the Dominion and if they didn't take Kratz home to the Great Link he could be hunted down and killed.

During the night, the Dominion Battleship had company, Mavek's and Evek's ships had moved into flanking positions. The move was provocative, but not solely hostile.

The Founder knew the solids had to rest, so after their brief tour of the Starbase and Promenade, they had returned to their ships and kept a close eye on the Cardassian vessels as well as the Federation ships Cabot and Sovereign as well as those that were coming and going through the night.

Morning came and the Founder returned to the Station as planned, along with the Vorta he'd brought with him the first day and this time four Jem'Hadar. They beamed into the upper level of the Promenade and like the night before passer bys stopped to watch the Dominion guests. The Founder looked around, he was told Captain Pike and General Hurd would meet them when they arrived. Two nearby Security Officers walked over to make sure no one got out of hand with their staring.

Lee stepped off of the lift walking onto the Promenade, he spotted the Founder along with the Vorta and four Jem'Hadar. He had a feeling about this as he had heard the report about the Cardassians visiting Admiral Bremer last night. He shook his head mentally. He walked over towards them.

"Hello how goes it this morning?"

One Jem'Hadar stepped forward, between Pike and the Founder while the others remained where they stood.

The Vorta looks from behind the Jem'Hadar, "Good morning Captain Pike. We're ready to resume our tour. Oh, and if you aren't already aware there are two Cardassian ships in close orbit of our vessel. We'd hate for there to be any incidents with so many ships in close orbit of the wonderful space station." The typical Vorta sarcasm was ever present.

Jewel walked in at that moment, "I hope there's no problem?" She said as she glared at the Vorta sternly. She had her fill of their attitude and sarcasm. They where, well annoying to her but she didn't let that show. She looked at the Jem'Hadar, "I think we can all relax, this is a safe place no need to be on edge." She said as she flashed a smile, "Shall we continue on with the tour?" she asked.

Lee looked at the Jem'Hadar then looked to the Vorta "Yes I was made aware about the Cardassian ships early this morning. I hope that there won't be any incidents."

The Vorta smiled, "I'm sure there won't be. Yes, let's continue. The Founder would like to see your Sick Bay, if that would be alright. He's fascinated with Humanoid medical practices." He smiled again, "And I'd be interested in seeing your docking bay, how you organize having so many ships inside a station like this. The Dominion has nothing like it, with this mutual friendship our two peoples have now it's nice to learn something new from each other."

The first Jem'Hard remained where he was, the other three did as well. Relaxed or not, their job was to protect the Founder. The Founder himself just remain silent.

Lee gave a curt nod "I'm sure we can show you those places. Shall we head to sick bay first then." He turned on his heel then headed for sick bay.

The Vorta smiled and followed. The first Jem'Hadar followed, then the Founder, then the other Jem'Hadar, with two Security Officers behind.

"I sure hope there isn't anyone ill or injured in Sick Bay today." The Vorta added.

Lee turned his head as they walked "Last to my knowledge, there is no one injured or ill in sick bay."

Jewel walked along with hands behind her back staying quiet listening and watching them.

Several minutes later, after a long turbolift ride to Level 700, the Vorta was the first person to step out and turn the corner into Sick Bay. As the Founder looked around with the Jem'Hadar flanking him, the Vorta looked over at the Chief Medical Officer's Office.

"There seems to be no one here, does your Starbase not have a Doctor, this office looks so, drab." The Vorta commented.

At the same moment, the EMH, a Mark V, rounded the corner. "This Starbase has over a dozen Doctors, plus other Surgeons, and Specialists...but you'd think I was the only one on duty until a new Chief Medical Officer is assigned."

The Vorta looked over the EMH, as did the Founder from the other room. "Starfleet is still using the Mark I EMH after all these years? Remarkable. We encounter a few of them on vessels we boarded or planet based facilities we procured during the war." The Vorta continued to look over the EMH.

"I'm not a Mark I, I'm a Mark V. While I have very similar visual parameters are the Mark I my medical database is expanded, my bedside manor is improved, and I believe my general medical skill is superior." The EMH replied.

"Ah...and Starfleet managed to keep the your singular wit as well. Excellent." The Vorta replied.

The EMH looked the Vorta over again, "As a matter of fact, you yourself look rather familiar. I believe an EMH Mark I treated a Vorta for injuries during the war after the Federation liberated Betazed. He was suffering from a phaser wound, the EMH treated him, and was even able to neutralize his ability to take his own life. Are you Kevis?"

The Founder stepped forward, but allowed the Vorta to continue. "I'm Kevis IV, you're referring to Kevis II."

"What happened to Kevis II? He was alive and well after the Battle of Betazed, and I believe he was returned to the Dominion with other POWs following the war." The EMH asked.

"He was." Kevis replied. "And he was promptly executed." Kevis added.

"You murdered him? Why?" The EMH replied with a tone of anger.

"He allowed himself to be taken prisoner, and there was no telling what military information he provided." Kevis replied.

The EMH stepped forward. "It was war, he was injured, and I treated him. His capture wasn't any fault of his own."

Jewel stepped forward between the two, "That will be enough out of both of you. Or do you want me to deactivate you Doctor, there is no need to argue what has passed, no need to bring up the past either." She said sternly at the Doctor then looked at the Vorta. "You're guests here on this station, there will be none of this." She added, "am I clear?" She asked looking at both of them.

Lee stood there watching the two for a couple of minutes then shook his head "There is no need to dwell of the past like the General has said." He watched them for any type of reaction.

The EMH nodded, grabbed a PADD and returned to the CMO's office.

The Vorta looked over at the Founder who simply nodded, then he looked back at Jewel, "Very well. I believe the docking bay is our next stop?"

The Founder continued to look over Sick Bay, as did the the Jem'Hadar, but none of them spoke.

Lee gave a nod then turned around "If you will follow me I shall lead you to the docking bay then." He headed for the exit

As the group left Sick Bay, the Vorta looked down the corridor and noticed a Cardassian at the other end, and he started to follow the group. The Vorta nodded to one of the Jem'Hadar who looked back, keeping on eye on the Cardassian.

"Captain Pike, is it typical for guests to be shadowed by Cardassians?" Kevis asked in a typical sarcastic tone.

Lee turned his head when heard the question, he spotted the Cardassian then looked to Kevis "Normally it's not typical for our guests to be shadowed by a Cardassian." He kept walking towards the docking bay.

Several minutes later the group arrived on Level 300 and they walked into one of the observation lounges that looked out into the docking bay. Level 300 was the top most level of the bay, and the view from there allowed observes to see most of the bay itself.

Several ships were docked. Pegasus, Essex, Yorktown, Luna, and many others. A Federation freighter was arrived at the station while another was backing away from its berth to leave.

"There are a lot of ships here." The Founder commented.

Lee nodded looking at the Founder "Yes a few of the ships are assigned to Starbase 400 while we have quite a few coming and going at any given time."

The Vorta nodded while making mental notes.

After looking around for a few moments more, the Founder turned to General Hurd. "We will be returning to our ship to await word from Odo."
