Much Ado About Nothing

Location: Pegasus/Bremer's Place
Timeline: 2 1/2 hours before Bremer's invite

After sitting in the courtyard, she decided that she'd return to the Pegasus and stay there until they leave. Once she was beamed up, she went to her quarters provided on the ship. A nice glass of wine sounded good right now. So she grabbed a bottle which she preferred than replicated wine. She changed into some sweats and sat down.

It was weird seeing Ruben's parents. His dad seemed truly sorry that he had allowed his wife and son to treat her like crap. Too bad his mother refused to admit that she was wrong but she didn't expect her to either.

She began to think about Paul, her son. She still couldn't believe that she had her son back. She lost 14 years of his life, missing every milestone and she hated it. Maybe she should have quit and stayed home with her son but she wanted to be both, a mom and a career woman. Everyone else made it work, so why couldn't he? Bridge under water.

Alex made a promise to herself, that she would stop punishing herself for the decision she made. From now on, the past was just that, in the past. She cleared her mind and started to think about positive things.

She was finally able to relax when she got the message from Bremer, an invite to his place. She had only been to Lake Murray a few times. At first, she wasn't sure if she wanted to go but it was better than sitting in an empty room, left alone to her thoughts.

She took a shower, got dressed into something appropriate for the occasion and waited until it was time. She stepped onto the transporter pad and beamed over to Bremer's place. She looked around a bit before going to the door. The area was just as beautiful as she remembered.
