Timeline: MD1 1135hrs, Following 'Contingency Plans'
ON:
Mirenna had opted to wear a lounge suit for the day of preparation for the Housewarming party. She was wise on that note, Lwazanda had her running all over the apartment.
Lwazanda hadn't so much as dressed herself yet. She was content to shout orders clad only in her hand embroidered dressing gown.
"When the florists arrive I'll need you to direct them to where they need to be." Lwazanda yelled.
Mirenna only nodded as she looked up to where her Mistress was perched.
"UGHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Lwazada yelled, sweeping into her bedroom, "I don't have anything to wear!!!"
Mirenna shook her head and hurried up the stairs. She found Lwazanda emptying her closet on to the floor.
"None of this will do Mirenna!" She threw clothing over her head, "Nothing is right." She exclaimed, slumping down into a pile of discarded couture.
Mirenna looked at her Mistress."It's gonna be fine ma'am." She put a consoling hand on Lwazanda's shoulder, "Go shopping."
Lwazanda, who had begun a dramatic crying sequence, stopped and looked at her handmaiden. "Now there's an idea."
Dressed in a simple saree with a complimentary headwrap, Lwazanda made her way through the throngs of people on the Promenade.
She was hunting, and she would have her prize.
Darting around countless people out for a casual stroll, The Betazoid woman made no apologies as she struck about the vast merchants area.
Janice was heading back to her and Mike’s Quarters after picking up a few things for their ‘goodbye’ lunch for K’Wor and Becca who were finally returning to Starfleet Academy. Both had been grated special leave to remain on Starbase 400 when the semester started because of the Borg crisis. Janice had wanted to pick them both up a gift, as well as something to go along with the meal.
She’s visited Mar’g’s shop, but didn’t find anything she liked. She then found at Retis’s shop. She also noticed another Ferengi moving into a formerly vacant shop and that had peaked the interest in Mar’g and Zark.
Janice saw Lwazanda approaching and she looked like she was on a mission.
“Lwazanda, how are you today?” Janice asked.
Taken by surprise, Lwazanda took a step back. "Janice! Oh, am I ever glad to have run into you." She grabbed Janice's arm, "Tonight is my Housewarming, and I simply have nothing to wear. My outfit must be perfect, as I'm sure you know. You and Mike are coming right?" She inhaled deeply, as she had barely paused during her dialogue.
Janice took a deep breath, “We’re spending time with Becca and K’Wor before they leave to return to the Academy tomorrow morning.” She finally regained her balance, “Retis’ shop has a nice selection, I would go there first. Savok’s shop has a few but most are plan looking, Mar'g has several as well...but you’ll pay too much for them.”
She looked around for a moment, she didn’t think anyone would really have something Lwazanda would like. “What are you looking for?
The Betazoid cried out in disappointment . "Oh Janice, you simply must come. Bring the kids, I'm sure they'd have fun." She pointed to Retis' shop, and they walked in that direction.
Janice felt bad, but plans were already made. "We'll try to." She had an idea, "Have you thought about postponing til tomorrow night?"
"I've already put it off this long because of construction. " The pair walked into Retis’ shop. "I have musicians coming in from Risa. It should be going quite late, and I'm anxious for you to see the Apartment. " Lwazanda offered a sad look.
Janice felt bad, but agreed to come. "All right, we'll be there. I'm not sure what time or for how long we'll be able to stay, but we'll come." She took a deep breath, she didn't want to let her friend down.
Immediately breaking into a hopeful smile. "I thought you might." Turning her attention to the contents of the store. "Now then, to business."
Janice smiled, but as Lwazanda looked away, a worried expression crossed her face.
