Mission: Episode 90 - The Great Relink

COMMANDERS OFFICE
Hondo who had returned back to her office after the end of the FTX, had gone to her apartment, washed up, and changed to a new uniform, and was now sitting in the plush office chair. Tired, but very happy on the progress of 2nd Bn during its initial 120 day re qualification, and the successful end to the 15 day FTX. Though they had taken casualties, that was expected to happen, the total KIA's were less than 8%; much lower than the expected 20% during last Campaign with the Borg, where the General had almost died.

But with Lt. Simms who she had great faith in, since she saw him take the lead when the Bn returned back home, she knew that her instincts about him were correct, and given time, hey may rise to the rank of General of a MARDIV. But there was a nagging thought as Hondo sat in her chair...

Since the General did not say anything to her, Hondo was now wondering what his final evaluation of 2nd Bn would be, for Lt. Simms this would be important to him to know what if any were some of his deficiencies, among the Officers, and NCO's' but for now all she could do was try to relax.

Since the evaluation had finished with their reports, and with the General now reading this, and other reports of the Bn, during its 120 days of re-certification, it was out of her hands.

Getting up out of her office after spending a few minutes sitting in her office, with large stacks of reports that had to be processed by her, she looked at the hundreds of Isolinear chips on her desk, and suddenly it hit her, "with an evil gleam in her eyes, and a smile that would not stop, Hondo said "SCREW IT", and walked out of her office.

Walking out of her office, Hondo found Joe in the middle of a small conference with the office staff, and said "Joe, I'm out of her; I'm taking a few hours off". Then Hondo said "and if anyone wants to know where I'm at", tell them that

"I have a date with Alexander in Egypt", with a big smile left the office.

For everyone sitting there they all looked at each other dumbfounded at the statement, and for many who had just been assigned they were wondering, just what did the Captain mean by "I have a date with Alexander".

Finally Joe who was now beginning to smile said "Oh if you're wondering what the Captain meant, She's headed to the Marine Holodeck, and she going back to 332 BC, when Alexander the Great was the King of Egypt.

if I know the skipper, "she'll either be in bed with Alexander the Great in one of his palaces in Egypt", or having him eat out of her hand." he replied with a grin.

"Anymore questions?", or do you want me to give you all, "a history test?"
