Mission: Mission 87 - Disaster
Location: OPS
Timeline: MD 1, apprx 1205 hours, Following "Memories"

Vice Admiral Deela T'Lar and Captain Alexandra Harrison were standing off to the side of the room, talking....

Alex had an annoyed look on her face as she spoke, "Out of sight, out of mind. His grandparents haven't even contacted him once since he turned sixteen. Paul left them messages several times but he gave up after the the third try. He pretends that it doesn't bother him but I know it does."

Deela shook her head, "With him being their only grandchild, I would think that they would want to stay in touch with him."

Alex shrugged, "They are still upset that Paul opted to come with me instead of staying with them."

"I will never understood why anyone would waste their time holding a grudge. You both are better without them. You should talk it over with Paul."

Alex nodded, "I will. Tonight."

Deela heard the door open and shut. What she experienced was a potpourri of emotions which made her look towards the door to see who it was. Alex didn't notice that she wasn't paying attention to her and continued to talk, "Oh, I forgot to tell you" was all she heard.

Deela couldn't help but observe Bremer. She then remembered that K'Wor and Becca were leaving for the academy which explained his heightened emotions. His expression didn't match what she was sensing from him.

"Earth to T'lar! Earth to T'Lar!" Alex finally noticed that Deela wasn't paying attention to her.

Deela looked at Alex with a raised eyebrow, "Would it not make more sense to say OPS to T'Lar rather than Earth to T'Lar?" Deela chuckled a little, "Sorry. I was...distracted."

"I see that." Alex sighed as she looked over in the direction that Deela was looking. She spied Bremer and nodded to him when he caught her eye, "Something wrong?"

Deela shrugged it off, "Nothing is wrong. I thought," she shook her head, "not important."

"Okay, if you say so." Alex glanced over at Bremer once more, "I'm sure that you have things to do. I'm going to go. I'll finish talking to you later."

Deela smiled, "Alright." She watched Alex leave before walking up to Bremer. Deela didn't speak, just observed him for a moment, wondering what was going on in that head of his.
