Mission: Mission 86 - Discovery
Location: Starbase 400
Timeline: MD3 0745 hours, Following 'Busy Day on Starbase 400'

ON:

It was early the next morning. The Yorktown was being towed back to the Station, the Shadow was undergoing repairs, the Federation Security Council-members were still aboard, and it was looking like it might be another busy day on Starbase 400.

M'Kota had gotten ready and headed out of her quarters and headed to OPS, when she arrived she took her spot and made sure everything was looking good. "Sir, just received a message from the USS Sutherland, looks like she will be arriving here sometime today as the Major has been released and deemed safe to travel." M'Kota stated as she looked at Roebuck.

"Understood." Roebuck replied. "The Yorktown should be here in a few hours as well."

Marine Country

T'Lyn walked in the Marine Ops and looked around, "Colonel?" She asked as she looked around wondering where everyone was. Was there a memo she missed she wondered.

"Sir, Colonel Jackson is just tidying up after his PT run. He will be here in about ten minutes." Aquila said as he stood behind her. He was still holding two cups of black coffee.

T'Lyn wasn't expecting someone behind her, she should have know but it had caught her off guard and she jumped a bit. "Uh thank you." T'Lyn stated as she looked at the man.

Gaius looked at the Major. He never startled a Vulcan before. This was not intentional. He just learned to walk quietly during years of conducting black ops. "Staff Warrant Officer Giaus Aquila, at your service."

"Pleasure Officer Aquila, Major T'Lyn." T'Lyn stated looking at him, "So status?" She asked as she looked at him blankly.

That was an easy question, since Jackson kept Giaus up to speed. "Sir, the Division is still on condition 3. VIP protocols in affect regarding guard posts, and roving patrols. First Regiment Alpha and Charlie Companies Up. Bravo company, five on sick call, three on profile. Weapons Company Up. First Armored Regiment Up. MARSOC, Up. Support, four on profile, two on sick call."

"Very good," T'Lyn stated looking at him, the she heard the doors open.

Jax finally entered to Marine Command Center. "Good morning Major. I see you finally met Warrant Officer Aquila."

"Colonel, indeed I have," T'Lyn stated looking at him.

"Very good, because he is our MARSOC Commander as of yesterday. Do you have anything to report Major?"

"Everything is as it should be, no incidents to report. The Marines are still doing rounds while the VIP's are still here." T'Lyn stated looking at him.

Giaus decided to check on the QRF. "By your leave Colonel?" Jax granted him leave to go. As Giaus left, he nodded to the Major.

"Oh Major, did we ever find out the story on that diplomatic Captain?" Jax said before he forgot to ask again.

"Sir?" T'Lyn asked not sure what he was asking.

"VIP Security, or not, I want to know if Captain T'Sen has anymore problems with our Marines. I also would like to know what his issue is. "

"As far as I can see he has left the Marines alone." T'Lyn stated looking at him. "As far as his issue sir, he is a typical Vulcan sir. He doesn't like change and as far as the Marines that he has issues with was once our enemies sir." T'Lyn stated without emotion.

"So what you are saying, is that he is having a harder time working with former enemies than the Tellarites and the Andorians had, or even the Humans and Klingons?"

"He personally doesn't like change, I am not speaking for all Vulcan sir." T'Lyn stated looking at him. "I don't like his logic but I will have to deal with it sir." T'Lyn stated looking at him.

"We deal with things nicely to an extent." Jackson said. "But only to certain limits. I am going to check out the VIP posts. Let me know if something comes up."

VIP Area

"Okay, you've been relieved Kuhzol." Olga told the other Marine while sipping on her coffee.

"Your enthusiastic this morning!" Kuhzol told Olga.

"I'm secretly hoping somebody starts a war so we can get out of this forsaken duty." Olga replied and then put down more coffee.

"This duty is a cake walk. Why do you always have to complain?" Kuhzol asked Olga.

"You know what the Earth historian Elzear Blaze wrote about Napoleon's Army? 'Fought hard, seldom cheered, and always bitched.' I think any military worth salt does the same. It's when the troops stop grumbling that you have problems." Olga informed Kuhzol. Then drank more coffee.

"Um, okay." Kuhzol replied, not sure what to say to that. "Don't change Olga." Kuhzol said with a smile.

Ops

A few hours had passed. The Sutherland had docked and the Yorkthown was approaching.

"Open the spacedoors and allow the Yorktown to dock. Alert Damage Control Teams to stand by to board her once she's secured."
