Mission 76 - Home comings
Location: Endeavour/Laffey
Timeline: Current
On:
Commander Coleman and the Endeavor arrived back at starbase 400 a little bit earlier than expected, from their trip to get some long range scans of the Talosian system. When he arrived at the starbase, he noticed that the fleet was ready to move out to the Talosian star system, so he asked Helm to move them into formation. He looked over at Ariel and said, "Open a hailing frequency to Commander Winters please."
Ariel pressed a few commands and within a few moments, the face of Commander Winters appeared.
Coleman got up from the command chair and said, "The Endeavor is back and has gotten some long range scans of the Talosian system for you sir."
On-board Laffey
Captain's Personal Log Supplemental: Laffey is preparing to Depart SB 400 under my new command. Our orders take us to a secluded sector of Space, this sector Talos has been forever barred from Federation Starships and citizenry alike due to the incendiary nature of the inhabitants of the primary system of the Sector. My only hope is that we are able to recover the remains of Commodore Pike without any confrontation.
As Laffey saw Saratoga follow, Regan did her best to maneuver the smaller starship. Thorin announced, "Endeavor is hailing sir."
"Outstanding." Coleman did receive the news of the four ship mission to the Talos Star System. Perhaps he had some new information of the area prior to their warping out of the system. Laffey maneuvered to the left side of the Saratoga with Endeavour behind Laffey and Vanguard to the right of the Saratoga.
Winter noticed the ships were getting into formation. Pegasus has already left with her Battle group to head for Earth.
"Let's have it." Winter said as long as it was a Secured Channel.
"The Endeavor is back and has gotten some long range scans of the Talosian system for you sir."
James saw the interior of a Nova-Class Science vessel. Coleman was obviously a good science officer and an excellent commanding officer, hence Endeavor's perfect record under Coleman. "What do you got Jonathan?"
*Onboard Endeavor*
Coleman pressed a few commands and said, "I'm sending the information we have of the Talosian System. We weren't quite able to scan all the way into the compond, but we might have been able to find out where they're keeping the remains of Commodore Pike sir. So, at least we're not going in completely blind when we get there sir."
Then, saying after taking a breathe, Coleman said, "I'm sending all the information we were able to get on the planet and system, including some places of interest we might want to watch out for sir. We're sending the information now for the Task Group to take a look at."
"Jonathan we appreciate the scans. It helps quite a bit. Every little bit helps, even a scan of the system and any potential places of interest. Just hope that the Talosians are opening up a dialogue for potential diplomatic talks."
Coleman said, "Yeah, I hope they're willing to open up talks between the Federation and themselves, especially with the talks of the new group going up against the Federation. Lets just hope." He then took in a nice, deep breathe as he said that.
"One can only hope. We'll see you in Talos, Winter out."
