so today i find out my shuttle was late and i missed USS Yorktown-F by 6 hours and they left a AEO short!! just my bloody luck eh. i mean a Defiant, thats what everyone wants is'nt it.
well today i was taken on yet another tour of the reactor by ensign Davids. this thing's so big that it could power the whole of europe by itself. but then there's 10 secondary reactors to top up the power. and we're the team in yellow to keep them under control.
CDR Coleman's left on OPS with Ark Royal today so it's a team effort to keep it smooth. every circut, switch and lightbulb has to be maintained by us. on a starbase with 2,894 decks and maintains over 270,000 people. plus the mothballed starships. and the shuttles. and any other ships that might need our help. it's a good job we got over 6,000 engineers otherwise we'll never cope.
they say tomorrow i got a tour with Walshie again over the mothballers. 3 excelsiors, 3 miranda, 2 akria's and assorted others. there's even 2 Connies in there. and i'm responsible for every single one of them. i have the best job in the world. fact.
it'll be nice to get on a Miranda again. i do miss the old Horizon, dear of her. she's clocking 110 by she'll run rings around a modern Luna in my opinion. not that a newly-minted JG's opinion is valued by anybody round here. SWO Blackthorne, our DCS, has been assisting me with everything LCARS. these systems are nearly 10 years old so they do need some attention sometimes.
well, food time again. this time me and Walshie are getting a meal in Rann Wartha. oh well, the sky's the limit, or in this case the orbit.
