well what a day. it's been non-stop. meeting and greeting and ducking and diving. i just hope it's not like this for the rest of my tour otherwise i'm going to feel 10 years older by the time they've finished with me.
met my CO today. Commander Jon Coleman, head of engineering for SB400. he also commands a starship, USS Ark Royal. talk about multi-tasking. seems like a good bloke, for a El-aurien.
also met a couple of juniors engineers as well. a fellow JG, dye heron and ensign Walsh, who looks like he needs leading by the hand sometimes. he's a good kid, he'll be alright.
still has'nt even hit me that i'm here yet. or the off-hand comment that when Coleman's off-station, i'll be running the show. i hope that is'nt soon. i'm not ready.
on a lighter side i found the resturants and the bars so i could chill out after my shifts; which are the simple 8 on 16 off. i'm part of Gamma Watch they tell me.
i'' be back tomorrow. i like using these tape-log things. easier to remember things.
