338 words; about a 2 minute read

"Science Officer's Log... The past few days have been a blur of busy lab work. It started by investigating the chroniton signatures between one temporally displaced individual and one of their descendants. I brought Ensign Orjeza, a fighter pilot, by shuttle to meet her grandmother."

"Not only was I able to study the effects of chronitons on DNA for the first time. The team was able to successfully isolate her chroniton readout. Research on the topic from ships like the USS Voyager has been known for decades."

"Lieutenant Commander Nicolas Coleman advised Lieutenant Junior Grade Vashir and myself in a meeting. He was presented with data collected throughout that morning. The Life Sciences team was told to focus on creating an anti-chroniton treatment in line with Voyager's research."

"Our team spent over 18 hours refining the treatments. Each individual and species needs a specially tailored regimen to revert chroniton levels to normal. Once this happens, individuals phase back in sync with their proper timeline. Effects of displacement seem to be nullified based on testimony from one of the Voyager's crew."

"Hundreds of crew members have already phased back. Ships are utilizing bio beds to help send their own crew members back several at a time. Our research has been made available. Starbase 400's numerous labs are also being converted to help expedite the process."

"Miss Vashir and Miss Vox are working with a team to utilize deflector polarity variance to try disrupting chronitons dislodged in the ship. I hope to read more on their trials. Their task sounds quite challenging."

"It should be noted that displaced persons will be returning to an original timeline, not necessarily bound to the displaced ships. The ships and people from different eras seem in essence to be nothing more than temporal signatures. They are simply ghosts or spirits tied to the real individuals on timescapes far away."

"I hope this rambling log helps me remember the events of this day, including the personal connections to my own history I experienced."

"Computer... End Log."
