"Personal Log"

"My arrival aboard Starbase 400 is fresh... Yet I feel as if I have been here for ages. The crew has been.. Welcoming.. I must already catalog events past and plan for the future lest something important be forgotten."

"The welcome meeting went better than expected. There I met Lieutenants Dawes, Vashir and Voight, among others. The three of us explored the Promenade afterwards. What a sight! The snow. The trees."

"Lieutenant Vashir threw a snowball at me when I asked about her homeworld... Odd!"

"I quickly finished my orientation tasks. Step one was to meet Lieutenant Xalanth for morning phaser qualification. Later that day I met someone. Ensign Vox was the propulsion specialist assigned to help. She is an amazing person on and off the job.

"A Type-7 shuttle was tasked for warp corp refit and testing. Minor upgrades were made to the nacelles and a fresh warp core was added. The shuttle was pushed far past its limit for a brieftime."

"The speed has since been deemed unsustainable." K'lar can be heard laughing over the audio for several moments. "Pushing this Type-7 too fast will not bring me to Sto'vo'kor...."

"I digress."

"After such dramatic tests, Ensign Vox and I had a glorious dinner at wa'SuvwI'. Ah the food was fresh. And Ensign Vox. Well. We are close."

"Now for things soon to come. I must begin studies at the biosphere next. There is an ecosystem made up of klingon, romulan, and other homeworlds' plant and micro...logical life. I am sure I will run into other scientists there."

"So much to summarize. So much left to do. Throughout it all I stand ready for the call to act. Also, reminder. Ask Mardon about his source for targ. I must continue my work in establishing this new breed of the beast."
