I hope I can get through this. I got a message today from home and it has saddened my hearts. My friend, Mysima illm Orrisen, did not return from a matron flight. A storm blew up and she was never the best flyer preferring to enjoy keeping her feet on the ground unlike me. Mysima, who always teased me about wanting to try my wings and having my head in the clouds. The artist who could write such poetry. The artist who begged my Guild to let me spend time in Guild Orrisen, the artist's guild so that I could be properly trained in singing and water dancing.

I am no poet, or great writer but I did learn to sing and there is an old song called ʻO ia koʻu hoʻomaikaʻi, in Federation it means This is my blessing.

E hoʻomaikaʻi nā hoʻomaikaʻi (May the blessings of the Twins be on you),
Giving light without and light within.
May the blessed light of the Twins shine upon you
And warm your hearts
So that all are always welcome within
May their light shine out from your eyes
So that people may come to you
As a wanderer takes shelter from a storm.
May the blessing of rain and wind and wave be upon you,
Soft and sweet;
May your flight be smooth, the storms be past and your wings
be ever strong;
May it fall upon your spirit
So that in it all good things may grow.
May the blessing of the earth be upon you,
So that you may ever know how much I grieve
And may the blessing of the stars be upon you
So that you may know that I love you always
It is of you that I am dreaming.

Sorry, my voice began to waver on that Mysima. The tears sting my eyes.

ʻO nā hoʻomaikaʻi i ka makani a me nā nalu, ʻo ka noʻonoʻo a me ke kino e like me nā māhoe, hiki iā mākou ke oli i ko mākou ʻoliʻoli no ka mea ʻaʻole loa e ʻae #

#Blessings to the wind and the waves, the mind and body, we are like twins, we can sing our joy for we will never part
