Well, it looks more and more like things are starting to move around the starbase twenty-three. Everyday I see crew transfers, more and more crew on board the Endeavor and fewer people on the Promenade.

I'm anxious and excited, with a little trepidation too, I won't lie. There is so much going on around me that it's hard to keep from being a little anxious. What will the next mission bring us? I can feel it all around me the palpable desire to retake Starbase 400. How in the heck are we going to do that? I have no idea. The thought of a forced intrusion...is not a pleasant thought.

I've made friends here and I'd hate to lose them just because we want a rather large, rather expensive piece of real estate.

On another note, I got recertified for hand to hand combat. I'm not a fighter; not really. I'm a Science Officer and I can defend myself. I feel a lot better that I got to train with Lieutenant General Dartt of the Marine Corps. I also got some good tips and observations from the Brigadier General Ross too. They have a hard life; Marines do I think. Training with them, even the little bit I got makes me appreciate all that they do for us. And I can imagine that if we try and take Starbase 400 again it will be them who are going in first.

I'll be busy the bext couple of days getting the labs prepped. Commander Coleman has shared some interesting and distressing information, if it's true, with me. If he's right; then we have a whole new level of challenges ahead of us. As I look around the Promenade here and as I walk back to the docking port and take a look at all the ships here, I ask myself if the price will be too high. We're going after Starbase 400, that much I can feel. But will we be victorious?

I hope so.
