Personal Log: Well, after almost 20 years in Starfleet, and receiving a vote of confidence by the admiral, I'm finally in command of my own starship, a Sovereign class no less. But I cannot celebrate this milestone just yet. We're on our way to Talous for a gathering of Federation starships towards the Talos Star System. In all my years I have never visited this area, as the last starship captain who commanded the Enterprise here, nearly lost his commission.

I have yet to brief my senior staff on this but once I know more about the mission, I will brief them, though the thought of returning to this system makes me... nervous...
