Mission: Mission 83 - Recovery
Location: Starbase 400, Ops
Timeline: Concerent with ongoing Misisons

ON:

Dow was in Ops, waiting Admiral Sevlek and Lieutenant Gardner to arrive. Sevlek would have verification of Gardner's clearance level, so Pat was going to put him to work right away.

While waiting, Dow read over a report from Starfleet Command. 'A Romulan vessel crossed into Federation space near Bolarus. It appeared to drop from Slipstream, decloak, and explode. The Starships Warrior, Galaxy, and Clemson responded, there appears to be no survivors. Scans suggest the ship suffered from a catastrophic malfunction in it's Quantum Slipstream Drive.'

He looked over the report for a moment, then looked at Lieutenant Archer, "Initiate a Sector wide Yellow Alert."

A few minutes later, Admiral Sevlek arrived.

Sevlek stepped off of the turbolift with a PADD in his hand he was perusing as he approached the center table in Ops, he looked at Dow who was reading something on a readout on the table and said, "Captain."

"Admiral, thank you." Dow read over the PADD, it confirmed who Gardner was, and his Security Level access.

Sevlek regarded the other man momentarily. Humans were such curious beings with the way they either embraced or suppressed their emotions on particular issues. It was easy to see that Dow was slightly perturbed he didn't have the necessary clearance to verify a Lieutenant's credentials. "Indeed, Captain. I am sure you are aware that is as much of Mr. Gardner's personnel file as you are able to have access to."

Dow paused a moment, 'Sarcasm?' "Of course Admiral. Besides, I'm not the Commander of the Station, so I wouldn't have access to that information."

Dow then looked at Gardner, "Ready to get to work?"

Daniel raised an eyebrow has he stepped forward. He had stopped before venturing further into Ops, to not intrude on the private conversation that was going on. "Of course, Captain." He said offering a nod to the Vulcan Admiral. "Admiral." He greeted respectfully.

Dow motioned to the Intel station, for Gardner to take his seat. "Review file 'Bremer-44-825', it'll bring you up to speed on the current mission."
