Mission: Mission 83 - Recovery
Lee was walking out of his and Alex's quarters heading for sick bay when he got the call. He tapped his badge:"I'm on my way Ensign."
He finally arrived at her quarters and pressed the door chime.
Saith sat up, “Computer let Captain Pike in, and turn up the lights.” The lights seemed glaring after her crying jag in the dark. She stood and moved towards the sink as Captain Pike came in.
When the door open Lee stepped in and waited for it to close "You wanted to see me Ensign?"
She washed her face off to get rid of any evidence of her distress. She nodded and turned to face him, “yes, sorry. I wanted, well, you are my only friend on board, and you know Maal so well, and,” She stopped her rambling and took a breath.
“I started counseling but as you know Counselor Dallas has been reassigned. I don’t know how I am going to do this mission. I don’t know how I will react.” She stated quietly. “I have been going over it in my head and it is an opportunity for me to return to my own people, but only if I betray those here. On the other hand, as you know, my people never did me any favors and I am not sure I feel I owe them anything. Still, I hate Remans and I am being asked to save them and help destroy my own people’s advancement.”
She stopped and looked directly at Lee, “the only thing I really have here is Maal. You know him better than I do,” another pause, “what would happen to him if it all goes wrong and I didn’t come back? At best I would be incompetent, at worst a traitor. Would it be better or worse if I came back to spend the rest of my days incarcerated? Do you think love is a good enough reason to return? Even if it is the only reason you can think of?” She looked at Lee expectantly.
He raised an eye brow at her:"You are going back young lady trust me. Things will be fine. Cause there is no way am going to tell Maal that you left and all. It's not pretty dealing with a big pissed off passionate Klingon. You can also talk to Captain Harrison, she is very approachable and is a good listener.
Saith was looking at the floor when the call from Bremer came in. She stretched her neck and sighed bringing her gaze up to meet Pike’s. The Admiral’s timing was terrible! “I guess I won’t get changed out of this,” she pointed to her Romulan uniform, “we had better get going if we are going to make that meeting.” She wished she had more time to discuss her problem with Lee, particularly where Maal was concerned. She knew that she was on her own and still had no idea what she would choose if given the opportunity.
Lee looked at her:"We will finish our talk on the way back from this mission, even if I have to stun you to get you back on board I will."
With that Lee turned and headed out of Saith's quarters and headed for the meeting.
