Mission: Mission 83 - Recovery
Location: U.S.S. Gladiator, Bridge
Timeline: Concurrent

Sevlek stepped off of the turbolift onto the Gladiator's bridge. The ship's bridge was slightly larger than a Sovereign class starship's bridge. With more stations for personnel. The ensign at one of the aft stations stood quickly and came to attention as he saw Sevlek and, loud enough for everyone on the bridge to hear, said, "Admiral on the bridge!"

Sevlek nodded and replied, "As you were."

Zandusky stood from the center chair and put the PADD he was reading on the XO's chair as he approached the flag officer, "Admiral, the bridge is yours."

Sevlek regarded the younger man for a moment. He'd only been a Captain for 9 months, which coincided with the amount of time he'd spent working on the Gladiator class starship's design program. Sevlek had tapped him early on as one of the candidates to be assigned as a command level officer on the prototype. While Sevlek was technically in command of the vessel, most of the day-to-day operations were left to Zandusky to manage, and he'd done a remarkable job so far.

Sevlek nodded, "Status on preparations for departure?"

"Lt. Commander Ledr'na says all systems are operating above peak efficiency, sir. Warp and Slipstream velocities available at your command." A pause as Zandusky remembered something, "Also, the primary navigational deflector is fully prepared to suffer damage from EPS conduit blowouts. Repairs are estimated to take 2 hours."

The Vulcan responded, "Very well, Captain Zandusky." Sevlek walked to the command chair and sat down, with Zandusky sitting in the customary seat of the XO. "Now, we wait on Admiral Bremer's readiness signal."
