Mission: Mission 83 - Recovery
Location: SB400
Timeline: After New Marine XO

T'Lyn had walked out of the Admirals office with Lieutenant Colonel Hurd and the other Marine Captain. "It is a honor to serve with you sir," she said trying to make conversation to brake the silence.

"So along with my Marine XO's duties I will be the CO of the USS Tirpitz as well?" she said as she had missed that in her transfer orders.

As they continued walking, Col. Hurd said, ''That is correct Major.'' ''I have a feeling we are going to be facing combat soon, and i want the Marines at the highest rediness level possible.'' Paausing for a moment, he continued, ''So major, tell me about yourself, and also feel free to ask questions about me as well.''

She looked at him as they continued to walk to their destination as she was already pretty familar with this type of Starbase. She pretty much knew where everything was located. "I was a Marine on the USS Cairo for pretty much my whole career, when I heard that the Marine XO position was available here and after the proper steps necessary I took this position." T'Lyn stated.

"Their is nothing really important about me that isn't already in my file sir," she stated as she rather work and meditate then do human things when not working. "What about you sir?" she asked.

Col. Hurd replied, "Well Major, i have been a Marine for quite some time." "And belive me i have fought aginst just about every foe the Federation has come across, Borg, Romulan's and the Dominion"' he said, rubbing the scar that ran down his face.

She nodded, "What is our exact mission that is going on? What exactly do you want me to do? And about getting the Tiripiz ready for whatever comes our way?" she asked as she hadn't had a chance to read the current mission she rather get the Marine CO scoop on things.

Col. Hurd replied, I want a full set of combat drills ran, both ship born and ground based." " I also want drills ran on repeling boarders, and a full inventory and inspection of our weapons and equipment"

"Understood sir will get on that right away," She stated as she looked at him. "Can you show me where my ship is docked would like to make sure everything is good aboard the ship." she stated as she looked at him.

Col. Hurd replied, It would be my pleasure, Major'', he said as they walked into the nearest turbolift. ''Docking Port 14, The Colonel said as the doors closed and they sped off.

After what seemed like mere seconds, the turbolift slid to a stop, and the doors opend. The Colonel and Major walked up the bording ramp, and the Colonel stoped and asked, ''Would you like me to come aboard with you, Major?''

"If you like," she said as they walked onto the ship she looked around and admired her. She was an impressive ship for sure. "Its an honor to work with you and your marines and SB400 as well." she said as she looked at him.

Replying back, the Col said, "Major, the honor is mine." "So where would you like to go first?

"I would like to visit the bridge and engineering ti make sure everything is in good order." She replied as the walked to the turbolift.

The Col. smiled and replied, ''That sounds good to me Major, what do you say we visit the Bridge first?

She just looked at him with no show of emotion "Sounds like a plan, as you humans would say." she said as she gave the order and the turbolift began to move. A moment later they reached their destination, she exited the turbo lift.

"Captain on the bridge," a operations officer replied and everyone stood at attention.

After they finished on the ship they exited and went about their business as doing their job and getting adjusted.
