Mission: Mission 75 - Time of Change
Location: Starbase Sickbay
Timeline: Current

Suan had made her way from the Admiral's office to Sickbay but it was not without incident. Throughout her walk, she had been stared at. It was clear that Romulans in a starbase was quite unusual. All she did was raise an eyebrow to the whole spectacle. Had the Hobus supernova not destroyed her homeworld, perhaps it would have been Federation refugees streaming into the Empire.

Sickbay was considerably larger than she was expecting, more in line with a hospital ward in size that some ship's simple surgical area. It was spacious, well equipped and fully modernized. She had seen nothing like it. Romulans were not as savage as Klingons, they didn't expect patients to die honorably or have them heal while resting on metal slabs. She had expected something but not this.

The medical staff acted much like the rest of the station, staring wide eyed at her. "If you have not been told, I am Centurion Suan t'Khellian, your new Chief Medical Officer."

Obviously by the gasps she heard, at least some were not aware of this development.

"I have been told by your commanding officer that some of you may show displeasure over my presence. I am not ignorant of the fact that for 200 years, we have been enemies." She gazed at each one of her Starfleet subordinates. "I am saying that any seditious behavior will not be tolerated. If you must sulk, then I suggest getting intoxicated in one of your holodeck fairy tales." Her tone was authoritative, as she stood in front of them in a hostile uniform. The only semblance of assimilation was the combadge attached to her chest.

"I want a current report on the status of this facility, number and condition of the patients, and an engineering assessment." The only sound was the beeps of equipment. "I will see the senior officers of this facility in 30 of your minutes in my office. That is all, return to your duties."

She didn't wait for questions as she marched into the CMO's office. It was mostly spartan accept for a few knickknacks that made it 'lived in'. She unceremoniously removed the painting of some Andorian master and the two potted plants and left them outside her office. Now it looked Romulan.
