Mission: Mission 75 - Time of Change
Location: SB400 Ops
Timeline: Current

OFF: Sadly, due to the lack of posting, I have to do something I do not want to do, move things along, advance the timeline. Stryfe, Andrews, and Drigget are aboard the Alabama, Mark, Pike, and M`Kota are aboard the Luna. Both ships are supposed to be meeting with 3 Romulan Warbirds that requested to defect to the Federation....

ON:

Mike watched the main view screen in Ops. On the screen, the Ambassador Class USS Alabama and Luna Class USS Luna-A were approaching the station. With them where the three Romulan Warbirds they had been sent to meet with. Two Valdor and one d`Deridex type ships. According to the reports that Stryfe, Andrews, and Mark sent back to the station, all three ships came with about half of their crews, including the COs. The main motivation for their defection seemed to be because of the direction the Empire was heading. These Romulans seemed to feel the Star Empire was moving backwards, not forward, and then allying themselves with recent enemies like the Breen would only cause additional problems.

A small 'escort' of five Federation ships would be arriving in twelve hours to escort the Romulan ships to an undisclosed location for further debriefings and interviews, as well as going over the ships with a fine tooth comb.

The Romulan ships were directed info a parking orbit around the station, while the Luna and Alabama were brought inside to their own docking bays. Stryfe, Andrews, Drigget, Mark, Pike, and M`Kota all came back aboard SB400. Andrews, Mark, and Pike all returned to Ops to assigned their positions there while Stryfe set up a dinner for that night with the Commanders of the Romulan ships, and to organize shore leave for the crews. Driggett had a little time off due, and was eager to take it.

Bremer was concerned about station security and crew safety, especially after some recent events involving Romulans, so he had Harrison, M`Kota, Borodin, and Rico to Ops to work out augmentation of normal security procedures while so many Romulans were onboard. As the meeting started in the Briefing Room, Bremer was called away to an important comm coming in...

Mike went to his Office and activated the monitor on his desk. The screen flashed to live with the face of Admiral Tomalak....Mike shook his head.

"Admiral Bremer, I believe you're holding several Romulan prisoners. " The Romulan said as the channel opened.

"We're not holding any Romulans against their will Tomalak, it appears that your intel is faulty." Bremer replied as he crossed his arms.

"Don't play coy with me, two of my ships observed two vessels from Starbase 400 meet with three Romulan ships, then escort them into Federation space. How do you explain that?!" Tomalak said, raising his voice and leaning closer to the screen.

"Free will." Mike replied as he leaned back in his chair. "Those crews requested asylum in Federation space and we grated it."

"But you are still holding property of the Romulan Star Empire, we want those ships back!" Tomalak responded, clearly angry.

"We haven't taken possession of any ship of Romulan design." Mike stood up from his chair.

"If you do not return those ships, then we will come take them!" Tomalak threatened.

Mike smirked, "You sounded almost Klingon just now Tomalak." Mike paused a moment as he took a sip of his Raktijno. "Any attempt to cross into Federation space will be met with force. I can have more than fifty Starships, including ships from here, at the boarder before you can get out of the Neutral Zone. Are you sure you want to go down this road Tomalak?"

The Romulan stepped back, pausing before replying. "I'll be seeing you soon, Admiral."

The comm closed and the screen went blank. Mike took another sip, then thought, `If Tomalak is bringing ship closing to SB400, then perhaps he was he'd pulling them away from the USS Endeavor's flight path. Hopefully it would make life a little easier for Coleman, Smith, and the Endeavor's crew...

Mike took another sip, then left his office and returned to the Briefing Room.

OFF: Tag Harrison, M`Kota, Borodin, and Rico in the Briefing Room, Coleman and Smith on the Endeavor, and everyone else aboard SB400!!!!
