Thorin, the Andorian First officer of the Saratoga took a deep breath as he reviewed tactical information. THolian Cruisers mainly the diamond class corvettes patrolled the border quite frequently. The last time a Federation vessel got too close to their border it was the USS Defiant, a twenty-third century Constitution-class vessel was taken in by a web and then disappeared.

While it presumably happened further down the border line than where the Akira-class vessel was heading Thorin still wanted to be kept up to date.

The Captain had been given orders to place a Tachyon Detection Grid along the border. Thorin knew from his family's long storied history in Starfleet dating back to the USS Eagle, that the THolians were never trustworthy.

Thorin had an offer to serve aboard the Kumar, a Federation Vessel named for the legendary Andorian Warship. Captain Winter was a fine officer to serve under and thus found it hard to part from him. He saw the Captain discussing something with Ensign K'Wor, a protege perhaps?

"Sir." Said Ragan, the acting Chief Helm officer. "Have you tangled with them before?"

"Six years ago as a fresh faced Ensign, I did it when that human, Captain Winter was much like myself, a seasoned Lieutenant we were on the Mystic on a classified operation."
