Mission: Mission 80 - Outpost
Timeline: Happens before the Party

Lee was sitting at his desk going over the daily reports of a few things around Star Base 400. He had finally relaized that he hadn't offically met Lt. Vid-Lotilija yet due to all that had gone on lately.

He tapped his badge:"Pike to Lt. Vid-Lotilija. Report to my office."

Vid-Lotilija barely had time to reach the turbolift after the visit to Sickbay when this call arrived and she just chuckled to the irony tapping her commbadge: "On my way, Sir! Vid-Lotilija out." She closed the conversation fast to can ask computer to show her the way before the turbolift arrives. She saw the start of the line showing into the turbolift just before the doors to it opened to let her in.

After a short ride, she exit the turbolift and walked short distance from it to the door indicated by the yellow lines. She pressed the chime and waited to be called inside. When the doors opened she stepped in and nodded. "Lieutenant Vid-Lotilija, reporting as ordered."

Lee stood up and held out his hand to her:"I am Captain Lee Pike and I would like to officially welcome you to Star Base 400."

Vid-Lotilija accepted offered hand, she was still... or maybe again not used to that Terran greeting, so smiled to it. "Pleasure is mine." She almost facepalmed, but stopped in time. She realized she said that wrong, but it was too late to repeat, and too silly.

Lee motion for a chair:"Please have a seat. Can I get you anything to drink?"

"Thank you." Sitting down she thought should she take something, not because she felt like drinking something or was thirsty, but just to have it to can cover for long periods of silence, when will be seeking words. It made her smiling. "Nothing, thank you, I'm fine."

Lee nodded and sat back down at his desk:"Your welcome Lt. So is everything going ok? Your quarters ok?"

"I like my quarters, to be honest. I don't remember I lived in so much space in my life."

"That's good to hear you like your quarters."

"Yes, thank you, it's really nice." Chuckling "I probably lived in bigger, but I don't remember. I still owe half of the factory and a family estate, but I don't remember." Vid-Lotilija was feeling much less comfortable with Pike, than with doctor and Admiral she spoke with previously. Her short sentenced responses was obvious sign that a combination of black and gray didn't make her feel comfortable. For a moment she wondered why, why was she feeling afraid or maybe even guilty when she didn't do anything wrong. Not yet...

Lee:"I just thought would introduce myself to you Lt. and say welcome to Star Base 400. So unless you have anything to say then you can go."

Vid-Lotilija really didn't want to cause trouble, but it was obvious that Captain Pike can feel her unease and though couldn't guess the reason he obviously felt the same and decided to end the conversation. She smiled wide and gentle. "I'm sorry, Sir. I'm sure we'll have a chance to talk more... in time." Vid-Lotilija nodded getting up and offered a hand to a man. "I'll be seeing you."

Lee stood up and shook her hand:"Have a good day Lt."

With that, she left the office and on her way to her quarters, stopped on the promenade.
