Mission 79 - Triangle
Location: SB 400 Promenade
Timeline: During and Following "Meeting"
Andy and the Admiral walked from her office up to the zone where the restaurants where...
While they walked the chat continued...
"Wow... This station is really something", said Andy
"Yes it is. I guess I really needed the change."
"I think I could get used to all this space...", he said smiling.
"No kidding. It's nice not being cramped into a ship, isn't it." She smiled back.
"I brought with me a full compliment of my Family's wine... Chateau du Jones", Answered Andy.
Deela stopped for a moment, "You did? It's been a while." They continued walking, "Hope it's a good year. Notheing but the best right?" It was a rhetorical question.
"So Where do we go for lunch?", asked Andy
"Depends on what you are in the mood for. There are so many kinds to choose from. How about Chinese? They make the best Mongolian Beef."
"Ok... Sounds Good", answered Andy.
They stopped walking once again. Deela looked around and then back at Jones, "First things first."
Mike had made his way from his Office, following his meeting with Ensign Baratin and Counselor Dallas, to the Promenade to meet T'Lar and Jones. Mike had never met Brigadier General Jones before, but he had heard of him. Bremer was happy to have him as the new Diplomatic Adviser, and Jones background in Intel would be an added bonus.
Andy looked at his new CO and after Deela's nod he approached and saluted the man... Afterwords he extended his hand and said "BGEN Andrew Jones the Second... Your new chief diplomatic officer... It's an Honour to be under your command sir."
Mike gave a welcoming smile as he shook Andrew's hand, "It's an honor to have you, welcome aboard Starbase 400."
Deela stood proudly next to her former Essex crewmember, "Jones here used to serve as my Executive Officer. I'm very glad to have him back. He was a real asset to my crew."
"I have a feeling he's going to be an asset here too." Mike replied. He glanced around and noticed that nearly everyone was staring at the three Flag Officers talking in the middle of the Promenade. He couldn't help but flash a smile.
"I think we should find a place to eat."
"I suggested Chinese but if you'd both like something else, that's fine. Just as long the food is dead and not moving." Deela joked, feeling much at ease now. Something she hadn't felt since this Clark issue.
Mike smirked, he did have a craving for some gagh, but he wouldn't make Deela eat Klingon.
"You are both senior to me so whatever you recommend... I'll tag along", he also sensed the eyes looking at them.
"Chinese is fine with them, it's been a while since I've had some good General Tso Chicken and Egg Roll. I think 'Tea Pot' is open, let's go there." Mike replied as the good headed off to get lunch.
