Location: Starship corridor
Timeline: Immediately following Questions and Answers

As she headed for the door of the conference room, Saith refrained from smiling. She paused to let Captain Harrison exit first, and then fell in step beside her. Instinct led her to look up and down each corridor to note her location and to familiarize herself with any people that she saw.

She said nothing. As she was an Ensign, she would wait until the Captain spoke to her before speaking. She thought about what had transpired in the conference room and realized that more questions had been raised but very few had been answered. She did smile then as she considered that a good thing. In all of the mystery stories she read, it always happened that way.

Once you could begin asking questions you had a direction. Once you started answering those questions you were on the right path. Finally, the path would lead to the explanation. As an Old Earth book character used to say “the game is afoot!”
