Mike left Ops and entered his Office. He had four ships that were ready to depart on three separate missions and he wanted to speak to the ship commanders before they left. He tapped a few commands on his desktop terminal, and Commander Winter appeared.

"Commander, stay on the Federation side of the board. Get the tachyon grid laid out and activated, and get back here. Understood?"

Winter was in his ready room when he got the call, he was about to brief Archer, Lee and his own first officer. "Yes sir, planning on operating under cloak as to not give the Tholians any reason to be aggressive."

Mike nodded, "Of course, but you'll have to decloak to deploy the tachyon grid. I don't foresee the Tholians crossing the border to interfere, only shadowing you from their side, watching what you do."

"Understood Admiral. The Tholians may ring our doorbell but we won't answer. After its deployed I plan to leave a cloaked probe to monitor the grid."

"Very good Commander. Bremer out."

When the communication was over Winter turned towards the assembled officers... "We got a little field trip.."
