"That went smoothly. Your marines handled themselves professionally." Ezekiel said as he looked to Danny, as he walked into the Marine office on Starbase 400.

"Thank you sir." Lennox looked around the office, "Thankfully, everyone handled themselves professionally and respectfully, even once the drinking started." He smirked.

"Call me Zeke, its just the two us." Ezekiel suggested to Danny, as he took a sip from his chair, as he pulled up a datapad. "Your division's performance review." He called out. Ezekiel was very proud of Colonel Lennox's team, and the hard work. Because of their professionalism, the meeting went on without a hitch.

"Yes sir, um, Zeke." Lennox was an old Marine now, having served during the Dominion War, and was now approaching fifty-five years of age, he wondered where the time had gone.

"What do you think of their performance?" Ezekiel asked Danny, hoping that he would look down at the pads to see how his unit performed during the last diplomatic function at the station just recently hosted with Neelix and company.

"Security was tight, there were no drunken brawls, no one tried to steal anything, and none of the Marines were injured, so I'd say they preformed well." Lennox added a slight smirk at the end.

But after a moment, the smirk slipped away. "In all seriousness, I think the Division as a whole needs to do...something. Since the Changeling and Mirror Universe shenanigans a couple of years ago none of our Marines, not the Division, none of the Regiments, not even a single rifle platoon has done more than glorified base security and VIP baby sitting. Minus the weird Delta Quadrant trip of course. The Marines need a training op."

"I hear you, but there is a saying. Don't go looking for trouble, because trouble will find you." Ezekiel pointed out to Danny. The Marines on 400 were very proficient, and it was a point that he was proud of.

Lennox nodded, "Yes sir, but we should be ready when that trouble arrives."

Lennox then took a few steps around the office, "I also need to take the new Kearsarge out for a test flight. Going from a Galaxy Class to a new Jamestown class ship is no small upgrade."

"I see, I am doing the same, but I am taking Lieutenant Vox to complete our shakedown. I hope Admiral T'Lar will be okay with her going on a temporary assignment." Ezekiel said, he liked working with her, and was impressed with her abilities when he served as acting xo after the loss of the old Saratoga.

Lennox nodded. "As long as those 'eggheads' in the drydocks did their job." He smirked a boyish grin.

Lennox then turned back to Bagwell, "What I need is an other fighter squadron to do take off and landings aboard ship's flight pod while the 181st and several runabouts do the same from the other shuttle bays. Get the new Deck Gang some practice. I did some checking, and with Starfleet's scaling back of fighter units, there isn't one not already deployed, on training, or on stand down for R&R."

"I can submit a request with Admiral T'Lar but I believe the old man will have to approve the allocation of another squadron. As you said, Starfleet is scaling back." Ezekiel said, if it was his call only, he would approve the request.

"I'm sure he'd approve, it'll just be a matter of when they can allocate assets and I really want to get the Kearsarge ready...just in case." Lennox replied.
