Music be the food of love

Mission: Episode 119 - "Shattered Mirror"
Location: Dee Vox’s Quarters, Starbase 400
Timeline: MD1 18:30hrs

It had been 6 months since the year since Saratoga had returned to Starbase 400, and by that time Jaxon and Dee had become even closer. He was definitely falling in love with her, who was he kidding he was in love with her. They're agreeing to meet up tonight at the promenade, both of them are going to go to dinner and then a musical performance. Before meeting Dee, he could never see himself at musical performances but now things have changed. He was just outside her door when he tapped on the intercom.

Dee was in her bathroom when the chime sounded. “Come on in, I'm in the bathroom so make yourself comfortable, I won't be long.” She shouted.

“How do you know it's me, it could be a stranger.” Jaxon asked teasingly. He was a few minutes early, he always liked to be early and by now she probably knew that. As he walked in, he looked around and wondered where she was.

She came out of the bathroom in her infamous blue gown she bought on Trill on her last visit there. She had yet to put on any jewellery.

“It was bound to be you Jax but even if not, I am more than capable of defending myself from any would be nutcase.” She replied.

She sat on her couch with her jewellery box on the table in Front of her. Opening it, she started to decide what to wear.

“I don't doubt that.” Jaxon said as he watched her come out of the bathroom, and go and have a seat on her sofa. “You look incredible.” He said with loving eyes.

“Thanks. I try my best. “ Dee replied. She picked up a pair of gold earrings with three small and one large blue sparkling stones. “How about I wear these tonight. “ She suggested.

“Those are very pretty.” Jaxon said he was no jewellery expert and he wasn't certain if they matched her outfit. But they look pretty and that's all that really mattered to him. But he knew some women were so meticulous about their looks, he didn't get that feeling from her though. The only feeling he got is that she wanted to look beautiful and she had accomplished that goal.

“Yeah. The blue is like the ocean off a tropical island somewhere with bright sunshine, blue skies, palm trees and sand that is almost white and soft under your feet. Hmmm, I might book a holodeck on the weekend.” She added. She put on the earrings and picked up the necklace that matched. She stood up and walked over to Jax.

“Could you help fasten this behind my neck please?” She asked. She positioned the necklace, feeling the coldness of the gold on the top of her cleavage.

Jaxon the pressure direction, and she slowly turned around lifting her hair gently and exposing her neck. His arms reached around her backside grabbing the necklace two pieces where the clasps met and then slowly started to bring around to the back side of her neck. As he clasped the two pieces together he slowly let them touch on her neck and then leaned in and kissed the side of her cheek.

His soft delicate lips slowly worked away from the middle of her neck up to her ear just stopping short, he had hoped this would have stimulated her sensation of desire and passion. He was trying to be romantic and he hoped it was working. “The weekend on the holodeck sounds nice.” He said an agreement however any weekend with her was an incredible weekend in his mind.

She opened her eyes after she had come back down from orbit from the exquisite sensations of his delicate kisses on her neck. “Holodeck or not, a weekend with you is wonderful.” She replied turning around so he got a good view of both her face and her ample cleavage.

It took Jaxon everything he had not to stare at her cleavage. “You know what to say to bring a smile to my face.” his eyes locked on with her eyes. The two of them were lost and thought in time.

“If it wasn't really hard to get these tickets, I would say we should skip the concert performance. I'm actually looking forward to going to the show.” Jaxon stated to her, as he continued to stare into her eyes.

“So am I. Have you any plans after the show? Maybe back here for a drink?” She asked.

Jaxon did not have to think about his response. His whole heartedly response was, yes. As he nodded his head he started to say. “I would like that.” He simply said, with a warm smile on his face.

“Good. Let's get moving so we aren't late for the show. “ Dee replied. As much as she looked forward to the show, staying here with Jax, in his arms, was so tempting.

Jaxon did not want to move away from the moment, but her tone and her voice was making a lot of sense. He quickly adjusted his pants when she turned away. “I can't believe how hard it was to get tickets for this, as big as the station is and how small the stadium is, I was honestly surprised.” he said not realizing how popular these musical types of performances were. Before meeting Dee he would have never gone to one of these. Now he found himself enjoying them.

“Yeah, sometimes they are. I've had a few failed attempts to get tickets before. Sure you can watch it in your quarters but it's not the same as live in the stadium. The people, the music. “ She exclaimed. “OK let's go.” She added.

“I know what you mean,” Jaxon said as they started to walk down the corridors together. He reached for her hand. “There's nothing like being in person to experience the ambience for ourselves. I've always had more fun at a live event versus watching something on the monitor.” Jaxon explained to her.

“The sound is richer and you can feel it in person,” Dee replied, taking his hand.


- Roughly around 22:00hrs -

After the concert, the two returned to Dee’s quarters. Jax got two drinks from the replicator and sat next to Dee on her couch.

Dee looked at Jax as he sat down. Now or never she thought to herself.

“Jax, there's something I've been wanting to tell you for a while and now seems like a good time. “ She said, pausing for a few moments.

Jaxon sat next to Dee on the sofa. She seemed a bit tense, but not in a bad way but like she was wanting to say something but didn't know how to say it. “Okay.” Jaxon said in a soft voice. He did not want to pressure her, and wanted her to know that he was there when she was ready to say whatever she had to say.

Dee took a deep breath. Smiled at Jax as he sat there. She put her hands together on top of his on the couch.

“I'm in love with you.”

She braced herself for what could happen next.

Jaxon did not say anything at first, but his eyes were practically saying what his lips were trembling. For so long he had wanted to hear her say that. It's first reaction was to lean in and kiss her passionately. He went for more of a slow approach, and gently caressed her lips with his, between kissing he stated that he loved her back.

The relief she felt was blissful. She looked deeply into his eyes as they paused between kissing. She lunged forward, passionately kissing him in his lips, laying him down on the sofa.

Things were progressing nicely, he would be lying if he said he didn't want things to go further. The two of them were laying there, slowly and passionately kissing one another. The whole world has stopped and both were trapped in the moment. There was no other place he wanted to be at this very moment.

Leaning back up, Dee got off the sofa and held out her hand to Jax, who took it and followed her to the bedroom, the scene faded as the door to her bedroom closed.

- MD2 - 09:40hrs -

Jaxon woke up in her bed, she was curled up next to him. He was in a state of euphoria. However he can see that she is starting to wake up. “Good morning my love.” Jaxon said, hoping she likes the new little pet nickname. He was laying on his chest as they were staring at each other's eyes.

“Morning sweetie. I feel great. What time is it? I'm on the late shift today so no rush but still need to be ready for 13:00hrs.” Dee replied.

“I forgot you had to work today, I was kind of hoping to spend some time with you.” Jaxon said he hoped he wasn't being too forward. But then he was taking a liberty because of the fact of how forward they both were last night. For the moment though she was laying in his arms, and there's no other place he'd rather be.

He glanced over at her night stand, looking for a clock but didn't see one. “Computer current time?” Jaxon called out.

“It is currently 0948 hours.” The computerized voice indicated.

Jaxon did not say anything, he just stared into her lovely eyes and she stared back in his. They have some time to get a brunch, and maybe a shower. He assumed that she had to work a full 8-hour day which means you wouldn't be available till after 21:00 hours at the earliest.

“Oh, plenty of time. When do you have to get to work? “ She asked, as she adjusted her position to make herself more comfortable, not noticing the cover had slipped off of her chest.

“I got the day off, I was honestly surprised I was able to get the day off. I knew the show was going to be long so when I asked for the day off.” Jaxon started to explain to her. He would have seen she would have done the same thing, but he was mildly surprised to learn that she had to work today. But they still had a few hours together.

“I was hoping we could get something to eat, then maybe going to walk, either down to the arboretum or to the Promenade to spend some time together. But I don't want to make you late for work.” Jaxon suggested to her, wondering if they had enough time.

“ Would you like to me to see if I can get today off as short notice? I can try. “ She replied. “But if not, we have plenty of time to go eat and visit the arboretum before 13:00hrs” she added.

“First we have to get out of bed.” Jaxon teased, as he pulled her close to his side not wanting to let go. It didn't seem like she minded him grabbing onto her. He was only speculating but he was pretty certain that neither of them wanted to get out of bed. He gently stroked her hair with his fingers, as he continued staring into her beautiful eyes.

“You said brunch, right so that's normally around 11:30ish so seeing as it's only just approaching 10, maybe we could work up an appetite first.” Dee replied, moving the covers off of her body.

“I like the way you think.” Jaxon said with a teasing giggle. The two of them started to fool around again on the bed as the scene started to fade.

Some time had passed but it felt like only seconds, however it had been over an hour and a half. Jaxon felt like he was on cloud nine and there was no coming off those clouds anytime soon. The two more giggling slightly and smiling at one another. “I can not describe how much I love you.” Jaxon said she laid next to him.

“I feel the same, words can't really do it justice. Normally I don't like being wrong about things but I was wrong when I started to believe I wouldn't find someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with and I am happy I was so wrong.” She replied, kissing his forehead.

“I hope Vox is okay with this.” Jaxon asked. He did not want to send me out to think he wasn't thinking about the symbiote. He wasn't just Dee he was dating and falling in love with. The two were linked together. It was impossible for one to love without the other. He smiled as she kissed him on the forehead.

“I'm guessing you don't know much about joined Trill's. The memories, experiences and personalities of the symbiont and past hosts are all amalgamated together in joining so I am Deezell Vox. “ Dee replied. “To put it another way, ‘we’ love you, Jax.”

Jaxon smiled as he leaned in to kiss her. “I am happy to hear that.” He said, as he continued to rake her hair slowly.

“We better get moving if you want a walk in the arboretum before I get to work. To save time I will get my uniform on. “ Dee commented. She got off the bed and started to get changed.

Jaxon smiled as he watched her get up, and she leaned back to smile at him as he slowly started to come out of bed as well. As Dee slowly started to get ready, Jax grabbed all his clothes. “Can I use your Sonic shower?” He asked, realizing that was a very big step, granted they took a very big step yesterday but this would be the first time that he would ask to use any of her facilities in her quarters. Such a simple request would have lasting ramifications to the relationship.

“Sure. Check the settings first as I might like it differently.” Dee replied.

“I noticed that most women like Sonic showers hot. I just like it mildly warm, a little hot but mostly warm, myself but maybe I'm a little weird.” Jaxon openly admitted to her.

“We all have our different tastes, whether it be food, fashion or how we like the shower. I find a warm to hot temperature eases my aching muscles if I have been running around all day, fixing and installing things, across the station and on docked ships. “ Dee commented as she finished putting on her uniform and was now checking for any issues with it and ensuring her boots were clean and shiny. “Do I look OK?” she asked as Jax headed towards the shower.

“You look incredible, as always. Now I better go take a shower, so we can head out soon, I will be about 5 minutes.” Jaxon said, he was going to jump in and out, he was kind of glad that she wasn't going to join him because he knew they would be spending a lot more time in the Sonic shower if they were there together. He had a strong connection to her. Eventually the new love euphoria would fade, and when it did their love would stand the test of time.

Dee just smiled. ‘Quite a flatterer aren't you Jax’ she muttered to herself. She sat in a chair whilst he had a shower.

“I'll try not to overdo it.” Jaxon yelled out in a teasing voice. He quickly finished his Sonic shower, which made him feel good. He was a warm sleeper and he always felt like he needed to take a shower when he first woke up. It wasn't really fun to put back on yesterday's clothing but it was better than nothing at this moment. He walked out wearing yesterday's outfit, thinking he needed replication clothing and put it in a go bag if he's going to be hanging out with this girl at her place more often.
