Returning to Starbase 400

Mission: Episode 116 - "A Bounty of Trust"
Location: Bremer’s Office
Timeline: MD1, 1330hrs

ON:

Dana strolled into Ops, she’d arrived aboard Starbase 400 once before then as fast as she’d arrived she’d been recalled because she was needed elsewhere, now she was finally back she made her way to Admiral Bremer’s Office to finally report in.

Mike had just arrived back in his office. It had been a busy morning and he was hoping for a quieter afternoon...but the door chime shattered that thought. 'Just as long as it's not Chu'rex...again.' "Enter." Mike finally said aloud.

Stepping in Dana approached Bremer’s desk. “Master Chief Petty Officer Dana Monroe, re-reporting for duty Admiral.” She smiled warmly.

"Ah, yes." Mike replied, scanning his memories for who this Petty Officer was. "Apologies Chief, refresh my memory please."

“Of course Sir” Dana smiled. “I arrived here just over a year ago, assigned as Command Master Chief, no sooner had I arrived then I was recalled by Starfleet. Now that little debacle is over I’m once again assigned back to Starbase 400.”
She pulled out a PADD. “My file Sir, as you can see I have ample experience, I’ve been a Starfleet Officer for 83 years now.”

Mike took the PADD and gave it a look. 'Eighty-three years, I feel so young now' Mike thought to himself. "Welcome back to Starbase 400. Have you been assigned quarters yet?"

“I was in the process of sorting it when I was recalled, so I didn’t bother in the end. You could say it’s on my to do list Sir.” Dana smiled warmly.

Mike nodded. "Okay, let get you assigned some quarters." Mike tapped in a few commands on his deck's display to have a Quartermaster get quarters readied and assigned to the Master Chief.

"I'm sure you have questions." Mike infered.

Dana nodded. “What is our current status Sir? Have I missed anything that I should know about?”

"Well, we have a mission to the Delta Quadrant planned, Admiral T'Lar is leading it. We also have a Klingon bounty hunter aboard the Station who's looking for someone. Otherwise, we have ships coming in, ships going on." It was kind of nice not having any mention of 'battle this' or 'major galactic problem' that.

“Are we going to be down a lot of people while the Delta Quadrant Mission is on Sir?” Dana pulled out a small PADD ready to make notes for later reference.

"I'm sure a majority of the Senior Staff is going, I'll tell the Admiral to send you the ship assignments." Mike replied.

Dana nodded. “Thank you Sir. I’ll make sure we have people filling the necessary positions until the Fleet returns. As for this bounty hunter, are we expecting him to be any trouble?”

"I don't think so, however, we are working on a way to try and lure the Andorian he's after out of hiding and possibly to the Station to be taken into custody. I really don't think there's room to worry." Mike replied and flashed a smile.

Dana smiled warmly. “Very well Sir, is there anything you need me to do right now?”

"Right now, no." Mike stood. "I actually need to go see Mr. Vercetti and Chu'rex and see if their little plan is in play."

He stepped from behind his desk, "Welcome back to Starbase 400."

“Thank you Admiral” Dana smiled. “It’s nice to be back and this time I’m not going anywhere.”
