Mission: Episode 115 - Planting for the Future
Location: Starbase 400
Timeline: MD2 1020hrs

ON:

The USS Cutlass slowly pulled into parking orbit around Starbase 400. The Saber class ship was little worse for wear after the adventure they just had.

Roebuck beamed straight to Ops while Carter, Kanan, and the rest of the bridge crew make sure the ship was secure before beaming to one of the conference rooms to finish writing their after action reports.


Ops

“What happened?” Bremer asked of Roebuck as the Commander stepped off the PADD. “Once you received M’talas we didn’t receive word from you again until you requested permission to dock.”

“It couldn’t be helped.” Roebuck replied. “There was a ship departing the area when we arrived. Fast, sleek, nothing we encountered before, and we couldn’t get a clear reading on her due to interference in the area. We went radio silent to avoid any potential fire fight.”

Mike nodded.

“We went undercover, made contact with a few of the local criminals capable of pulling something like this off. Titus Rikka, Sneed, Krinn, and Krevin. We couldn’t prove any of them were behind the raid on the USS Louisville, however we did locate some of the stolen weapons outside the city and we took position of them. However during the investigation we found evidence of a possible larger conspiracy going on so I sent a secure communication to President Donovan.” Roebuck explained as he handed two PADDs to Bremer.

Mike looked over the reports and information on both PADDs. “Well done.”

“There’s something else. We also located two of the three missing USS Louisville crewmembers on the planet, and we’ve beamed them to Sick Bay aboard the station.” Roebuck added.

“Write up a report on their recovery and send it to me as well. I’ll get it to Starfleet Command and to the Louisville’s Captain.” Mike replied.

“Will do.” Roebuck replied as he excused himself.

Mike looked at the PADDs again, then retired to his office.

“Computer, secure the room and open a secured and encrypted channel.”

“Room secured and channel open.” The computer replied.

Mike tapped in a few commands, then said, “SB400 to C-SIT. Priority-Alpha, standby to receive.”

A few moments went by, then the computer beeped. Mike then uploaded the information from Roebuck’s reports and his concern about something bigger being planned. Once the data was sent the computer beeped again. Finally, after a few moments more a single word reply appeared on the small comm-screen on Mike’s desk. “Received”

Mike closed the channel, then deleted all evidence that the communication ever took place. Mike knew he wouldn’t get any further response any time soon, but he also knew that the Starfleet Intelligence Officer he sent the information to would stop at nothing to find out the truth.

A few minutes later, Mike left his office and returned to Ops.
