Mission: Episode 115 - Planting for the Future
Location: Starbase 400 bone yard

Cameron had finally had a few hours to himself. The shop had delivered the last repaired shuttle and runabout from the battle to retake the station and now he had time on his hands for the project that was near and dear to his heart. Almost as near and dear as his fiancee and small family.

He had barrowed an old type 6 shuttle for this trip. He had actually wanted something older but there were no older shuttles or shuttle pods around and anyway the type 6 would work for this trip. Now he sat at the controls slowly piloting his way through the wrecked ships that made up the stations bone yard. It was a shame that so many ships had been parked here either deemed unrepairable or waiting for salvage crews to strip them of their useful parts.

Truth be told he knew he should not be here but this was where they had towed his baby to, or at least that is what he had been told by the rather irritating ensign when he asked where he could find the Dakota A.

"Back corner of the bone yard with the other civilian trash" Said the ensign before turning his back and walking away.

So here he was the back corner of the yard where a dozen hulks of civilian ships were sitting many missing various pieces and a couple stripped down to floating keels. What he saw was enough to bring a tear to his eyes the ships were left here basicly at the mercy of space and open to pirates and god knows what else. He was sad but he was also mad, mad at the ensign for treating him like a nobody and mad at the fleet for putting his ship here.

Finally behind an old ore hauler he found her. The transponder still flashing her ID faintly like she was trying to hold on and using the last of her strengh to say "I am here help me please."

"Don't worry girl it took me longer then I wanted but I am here and I am not going anyplace." Said Cameron softly he started the survey to see what was needed externally first.

EXTERNAL DAMAGE SUMMERY
Port side
No damage to report however this was the side protected from attack during the boarding operations so it is to be expected.
Starboard side
looks like 5 torpedoes made contact with the hull most weapons emplacements are gone and several large areas open to space also it looks like the starboard nacelle took a hit as the aft portion is gone. I think it is possible to repair or at least get her airtight again in fairly short order maybe a couple months give or take
Bow
Looks like the shuttlebay has been blown out but other then that no real damage to be seen.
Stern
Looks like there is no real damage to the stern of the ship impulse engines appear offline but that is to be expected I see no real obvious damage to this area of the ship.
Conclusion
If I can get the yard to work with me anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks should see the external damage repaired with the exception of the weapons emplacements however those are not critical right now.

END REPORT

No idea what the inside looks like and I do not have a space suit with me to allow me to get a detailed scan of the inside. All I can tell from the sensors is that the bridge, Engineering and decks 2 through 6 appear to be air tight but with no gravity and no life support it would be foolish to try and start work right now.

I will have to have a talk with the yard master and see what it would cost to have the ship towed in and at least sealed up and checked over enough to be safe with life support impulse engines and deflectors repaired.

It had taken him a couple hours to get this information and now he had to head back to the starbase. "Don't worry girl I will get you into the yard or I will damn well repair you where you sit." Said Cameron firmly now he just had to find a yard master who would be willing to help him out.
