Episode 114 - A Time and Place for Everything
Location: Starbase 400
Timeline: MD1 - 1115hrs
ON:
K'Wor was walking out of the Security Office on Level 132 on Section D1. He'd been asked to make sure the weapons locker and office were manned after Ensign Shrol lost one of his antenna. While the Andorian would grow it back, he was still in pain and needed to go to Sick Bay. Once another officer arrived, K'Wor made sure she was signed in and left.
K'Wor had heard something was going on in Ops and wanted to get up there to see what he could do to help. Entering the turbolift he was surprised to see his younger brother Christopher inside. He was more surprised to see his cousin Luke.
K'Wor stepped inside and patted Christopher on the shoulder. "Ops."
Luke rolled his eyes and let out a huff.
"Something wrong, Ensign?" K'Wor asked rather sarcastically.
Luke puffed out his chest a little. "Look, you don't like me and I don't like you, let's just leave it at that."
"No, spit it out. I thought we had this settled months ago but your attitude is boarding insubordination." K'Wor replied.
Conway shook his head, "You'd know all about that wouldn't you. Letting your little brother sneak aboard the Yorktown for the Dewa mission. If your uncle wasn't the CO of the ship you'd be facing charges."
"Wait, I snuck aboard and hid. K'Wor didn't know, neither did Uncle K'Temoc." Christopher added.
"K'Temoc...Dad should have wrote you up." Conway still wasn't use to calling K'Temoc 'dad', he'd only known K'Temoc was in fact his father for barely a year. "You but Christopher in harms way and that was immature and stupid."
K'Wor stepped up to Luke, right in his face. "Stand down Ensign Conway."
The doors to the turbolift opened and at that moment Conway shoved K'Wor. K'Wor stumbled, and as Conway took a step forward K'Wor shoved him back and into turbolift and up against the wall.
Christopher eased out of the turbolift as Conway threw a punch, hitting K'Wor in the face. Stumbling, K'Wor shook his head. Conway rushed in, but K'Wor grabbed him and using the momentum he spun around and slammed Conway to the deck.
"Stop it you two!" Christopher called out.
Conway tried to push K'Wor off, but K'Wor blocked the shove and punched Conway in the face. As he went to punch again he felt his arm being grabbed and he was tossed back.
"That's enough!" K'Temoc said looking down at his son and nephew. "What the hell is going on?"
"They..." Christopher started.
"I need to hear it from them." K'Temoc said cutting him off, still looking at Conway and K'Wor.
K'Wor stood first, blood trickling from his lip. "No excuse Admiral."
Conway also stood, his mouth was bleeding too. "No excuse, Sir."
"You're both on report." K'Temoc said. He let out a breath, "Go the head, clean up, then get your butts back in here. We have enough going on and your petty rivalry isn't going to help."
"Yes sir." Both Conway and K'Wor replied as he did as ordered.
"Don't tell your dad, there's enough going on, he doesn't need this too." K'Temoc said to Christopher.
The twelve year old nodded. "Where is dad?"
"In his office, he might be in there for a few minutes." K'Temoc said, he didn't want to tell Christopher why.
A moment later Conway and K'Wor walked back up to K'Temoc and stood at attention.
"Take tactical positions and monitor the ships around the station, ensure they're holding position. There's a log you can pull up to catch up on the situation." K'Temoc said to them both.
K'Wor and Conway took their seats and glanced back at each other before pulling up the log and looking at sensor displays.
