Episode 114 - A Time and Place for Everything
Location: T'Lar's Quarters
Timeline: MD1 - 1045hrs
Deela had just gotten off her ship after it was docked. She couldn't wait to see her kids but she had to make a stop at her office to see what it was that Ensign Harper found. Once she saw the info, she finished her ship logs and made her way to her quarters.
Halfway to her quarters, a sense of confusion, anxiousness, among other emotions. She had to stop in her tracks for a moment in order to balance herself. She wasn't sure what just happened. After she gained her composure, she knew that she'd have to get to her kids in a hurry. Brandon was knew to the whole Betazoid thing and worried that he wouldn't know what was happening to him. Raivyn still had some time before she'd get her Betazoid abilities.
Once she got to her quarters, she could see that Brandon was sensing what she was sensing. He ran up to her and hugged her, "Mom, you're back!"
Deela hugged him back, "It's okay Brandon. I'm here now."
"I don't mean to be a big baby. I can't shake this feeling." Brandon didn't like feeling like a child.
"It's not you. I'm sensing it too. Something just happened, something I can't explain but what you are sensing is from others somewhere on this base." Raivyn came running over too. She was fine, just copying her big brother.
"Mommy, I missed you." Raivyn gave her mom a kiss. "Promise you won't leave again."
"I can't promise that but I won't be going anywhere for a while now." Deela assured them, "Did you guys have fun while I was away?
Brandon tried to shake off the emotions around him, "We spent a lot of time on the holodeck. We learned about Earth history. We even got to go to some theme parks that were popular in 2021. It was really fun."
What about you Raivyn, did you have fun?" She smiled at Raivyn.
"Uh huh. But I didn't like that ride that went upside down. It was scary." She playfully shivered.
"Yeah, Raivyn was scared. She cried like a baby." Brandon teased.
"Oh yeah? Then why were you screaming so loud?" Raivyn learned how to mess with Brandon just as well as he could with her.
"I wasn't screaming. It helps with the speed of the ride."
Deela chuckled, "Okay, that's enough. I'm going to get cleaned up. When I'm done. we'll play a game or something."
"Okay." Brandon was still feeling overwhelmed although he was joking with his sister. "Mom, is this thing going to go away? I hate it."
"It will. I promise." She still didn't know what was going on but she figured that she'd soon find out if it was anything bad.
In the middle of her shower, she heard something but wasn't sure what it was. Raivyn was sent into the room, "Mommy? You have to go. The Admiral wants you at OPS."
"Thank you Raivyn. I'll be out in a minute." She dressed in her uniform and came out where the kids were, "Okay, I have to go to OPS and I have a feeling it's about what we are sensing."
"I hope so because it isn't a good feeling." Brandon admitted.
"No it isn't. It should get better. When I get back, I'll tell you what is going on. Okay? It shouldn't take too long." With that said, Deela left for the meeting.
