Deela was tired from the emotional drain on her that she wasn't used to. Raivyn came in and sat by her mother on the bed. She looked at her mom and Deela could tell that there was something on her mind. She looked at her daughter and waited, "Mommy? Is Jack ever coming back?"

Deela frowned, "I do not know Raivyn. I have people looking for him but so far, no one knows where he is."

Raivyn also frowned for a moment, "I miss him.' She needed to know, "Do you think he was upset that I didn't call him daddy after you got married? Is that why he left?"

Deela was taken aback at the question, "No, no, no Raivyn. He knew you just needed time and if you decided to continue calling him Jack, that was okay with him too. So do not blame yourself. He was probably at the wrong place at the wrong time." Truthfully, Deela blamed herself for letting him go by himself. She should've gone with him like he wanted.

"Do you think you'll find him?" Raivyn observed her mother's face.

"I am not going to make promises that I cannot keep. I hope we do but there are no leads." Deela sighed.

Brandon walked in, "Hey, what's going on? You both are upset."

Deela was upset, it was no secret. She put her hand on Raivyn's knee and patted it, "We were just having a mother/daughter talk."

"It's about Jack, isn't it? Raivyn asked me if I miss Jack and I told her I do too. Any word yet? You've been gone for a while." He looked at her inquisitively.

"If they found out something, they would have gotten word to me." Deela stood up and Raivyn followed, "Anyone hungry?"

Raivyn smiled widely, "Can we have strawberry pancakes? We haven't had those in a long time!"

Deela chuckled, "Strawberry pancakes it is."

Brandon chimed in, "And bananas too if it's okay."

Deela smiled, "And bananas." She gathered them together and headed off for the promenade. They all ordered their food and was just enjoying being together. It was nice having her kids there. It did make her miss Jack more. She was concerned that no one had gotten back to her. She had to tell herself that if they did, they'd let her know.

After breakfast, Deela brought them back to their rooms until class started. Deela left for her office. Once there, she looked over ship reports, making sure that the Starbase was running smoothly, especially since her and Bremer were off on their little Borg mission.

Deela's mind would once in a while go back to Jack and those looking for him. She couldn't help to feel useless with her just sitting there than being with them to look for him. She sat back in her chair and stretched a little. She got herself a glass of tea from the replicator and sat back down. After a few sips, her computer chimed. Finally! On screen, Kisha, Janelle and Dave were sitting all together.

Deela braced herself for bad news, "So? What do you have for me?"

Dave didn't smile. In fact, no one was smiling, "We went to that planet that you told us he went to help at and we talked to a lot of people. They pretty much said the same thing, corroborating each other's stories. They didn't see him leave anywhere."

Deela exhaled, "So you are not closer to finding him."

Kisha was eager to tell Deela what she found, "Well, not exactly. We talked to this woman who looked very nervous. She kept looking at her husband like she was scared of him. What was even more weird is that he came over and looked like he was going to kill us. The look in his eyes was scary. And I've seen scary."

Deela nodded, "So what? Her husband is very vicious."

Kisha shook her head, "I would say a better word for him is savage."

"Okay, savage then. Whatever. And?" Deela could sense that there was something else.

"Well, they have a little girl named Bania. She was trying to tell her mom something and kept interrupting her until the mother sent her off to play."

Janelle, since she was the one who talked to the little girl took over the conversation, "So, I decided to follow Bania and she talked to me after I gained her trust a little. She told me that Jack was really nice to her and that she liked him. She told me that she wished her dad was nice like he used to be. Then she said that Jack left with his brother."

Deela raised an eyebrow, "His brother? What was he doing there? Jack never mentioned that his brother would be there."

Janelle raised her hand, palms showing and shook them, "Wait. Wait. She said that he was his twin brother. She said he looked just like Jack."

Kisha chimed in, "I've seen what his brother looks like. It's not him."

Dave added his thoughts, "If you put this all together. We have a woman who is scared of her husband, a child who wishes that her daddy was nice like he used to be and and not a tyrant and a man that looks like Jack, you know what I'm thinking."

Deela nodded, "I know exactly what you are thinking and you may be correct. He's had run ins before with him and I know he 's still alive. If it is him, Jack may not be..." She swallowed and dreaded to hear herself those words, "Alive."

"Sorry that we don't have any good news for you but you can't really say either way if he's alive or not. We don't know. Maybe he needs Jack for something."

"Or he's finally getting revenge on Jack." Deela was done, "Thank you for your help but there's nothing any of us can do right now. I am going to report it to Starfleet and see what solution they have. If he is in the mirror universe, there is nothing I can do personally."

Dave frown, "Are you sure? I can..."

Deela stopped him, "No. I need Janelle back here. Bring her back and call it a day. You helped a lot and at least now, I have some idea what happened to him. Kisha, thank you too. I appreciate you helping out and Janelle, you too."

Dave sighed, "Okay. You're the boss. I will return your Science Officer, ASAP."

Deela nodded, "See you in a few." The screen went dark. She put her arms on her desk, crossed them and planted her face into them. She decided that she needed to accept that she lost another husband once again. She was sure that being married to her was dangerous or just unlucky. She lifted her head off her arms, composed herself and contacted Starfleet to see if there was anything she or they could do to get him back if there was even a slight of him being alive
