Sam's shift had just ended, when he walked into his quarters. Was he the first to arrive he wondered, as he softly called out. "Hello." it was possible, that he beat Sarah back to their shared quarters on the USS Falcon.
“Hi Sam.” Sarah came walking out of their bedroom with a smile on her face. She had just changed and was ready to relax and spend some time together.
"Hey baby." Sam said, calling her by the nickname he gave her. He could see that she had changed over. "I can not wait to get out of my uniform too." Sam said, as he started to unzip his jacket.
Sarah smiled at him as he started taking off his jacket. “I’m looking forward to our spending time together.”
"I see, seems like you already have something planned." Sam said, with a big grin on his face.
“Not really.” Sarah replied with a smile. “Just an evening with just the two of us.”
"Those tend to be the best nights." Sam said, realizing how corny that sounded.
“I couldn’t agree with you more.” Sarah said with a smile. “I like spending time with you, I am glad you said that:”
"So what would you like to do? Catch a movie? Hangout in the mess hall? Head to the holodeck?" Sam asked, wondering what she would like to do.
“The holodeck.” Sarah said with a smile. “Surprise me with where we will go.”
"You will be surprised. I only have a one hour reservation slot. But it will be fun." Sam said, with a big grin on his face.
Sarah grinned in return. “You know how much I love surprises. I can’t wait!”
"No pressure." Sam said, with a big grin. He hoped she appreciated the holodeck program. Assuming she wanted to do that.
“I am glad you decided on the hologram.” Sarah said with a smile. “When can we go?”
"Me decide? What?" Sam said in a teasing voice.
“Yes.” Sarah smiled at him. “You set this up I’m sure you have a plan.” Her eyes met his, humor in them. “You always have one.”
Sam just grinned. "You know me to well, a little scary." Sam said to her in a teasing voice.
“It’s one of the things that make us perfect for each other.” Sarah said with a smile. “
Sam just smiled, allowing what she said to sink in to them both. He appreciated the comment.
“Should we plan on a late dinner afterwards?” Sarah asked him. “Or is that part of what your surprising me with?”
"It would not be a surprise if I told you." Sam pointed out to her, with a tone of sarcasm in his voice.
“You are right.” Sarah smiled. “So I’ll just be patient and wait and see.”
Sam gave her a look, his eyes said really, your going with that argument. He looked at her, then smiled. "Really, you patient?" Sam asked.
Sarah laughed at his smile. “Hey now! Are you saying I have no patience?” She really didn’t, except when she was working.
"I prefer not to answer that question." Sam said, in a teasing voice. He had a big grin on his face.
Sarah shook her head, still laughing. “It’s okay, I know what your thinking.”
"That could be dangerous or very helpful." Sam said, with a big cheesy grin on his face.
“You are right.” Sarah said with a grin. “What do you think it is?”
"I am not giving you a hint." Sam said, with a grin on his face.
Sarah sighed. “I think I know anyway.” Her eyes met his. “A little bit of both.”
"Not saying." Sam said, as the scene starts to fade away.
Sarah shook her head and just smiled. She did love a man of mystery.
