The soft bump was almost imperceptible, but Tressa was certain she felt it as the USS Essex docked with Starbase 400. She was off-duty for 20 hours, her niece and nephew were in class and would be until later in the day, since this was their 'late study' day and they would have additional projects to complete.

She waited with the other officers and crew as the formal greetings were made by the Starship and Starbase Commands, then moved into the massive station. She could see the curve of Kaleb IV from a nearby window, then noticed there were tables, chairs, and couches for viewing the planet. She sat at a console and found a map of the starbase complete with a visitors' tour, curious about all there was in this place. She smiled when she saw the Cargo bay; she would be scheduling her next lesson with Commander Clifford soon and there was plenty of space for her first real flight. Of course, some more time in the Holodeck wouldn't hurt, either.

After getting a bite to eat and wandering around the Biosphere, the medical officer returned to her home on the Eseex just as Xavier and Kaylee arrived. The family spent the evening talking about all the Starbase had to offer.
