"Why do I get the feeling were late for dinner?" Ezekiel asked, it was just the two of them. But he felt bad, for being over ten minutes late.As a general rule, he hated to be late to anything. It really bothered him, when he was late.

Anna smiled at him. “Being late is our normal, Zeke. It is the life we live.” She reached over and squeezed his hand. “I am not always on time either.”

"I really hate that you know, that its our normal." Ezekiel said, shaking his head more at himself, than at her. She was only speaking the truth. Which he appreciated and respected her for doing. He hated it, when she was late. That always bothered him.

“I’m only saying it’s okay,” Anna said with a smile. “With our jobs there really can’t be a lot of expectation of being on time.”

Ezekiel wanted to speak out, and tell her that she was wrong. However, he did not want to start a fight. So instead, he moved forward with the conversation. "How did your day go, you were partnered up with Mister Reynolds right?" Ezekiel asked, trying to remember who Sarah assigned her too.

“Yes,” Anna said with a nod. “It was good working with him. We had a chance to talk while we were there, it’s nice to get to know the crew outside of physicals.”

Ezekiel thought about the young man for a moment. After a few moments, he went on to say. "Lieutenant Reynolds is a very capable officer, how is socially and personally?" Ezekiel asked, curious to see how she saw him. The doctor in her, could not stop being a doctor. Despite her best intentions.

“From my conversation with him,” Anna said with a smile. “He seems like he is friendly, one of those people you are glad to be friends with.” She smiled widely. “And he really likes one of his fellow crewmates.”

Dustin seemed to have settled down, once he met a certain lady. Ezekiel decided to bring up the topic, that was on his mind. "Aubrey Miller, I have noticed they are growing close. Hard to miss them in a small mess hall." Ezekiel said, with a smile on his face. "I think they are a cute couple." He suggested to his lovely fiancé.

“So do I,” Anna said with a smile. It was interesting watching them sort of skirt around their attraction for one another and then take baby steps to start dating.”

"Glad to see it was not just an us thing, taking baby steps getting into a relationship." Ezekiel said, with a smile on his face. Others couple did it too.

“Knowing the crew,” Anna said with a smile. “We shouldn’t be surprised. They weigh everything in life carefully. It’s what makes them so exceptional.”

"I want to get to know them better, this dinner with Dustin and Aubrey is a good start. I hope we can do more of them, down the road." Ezekiel said, with a warm smile on his face. He wanted the dinner to go smoothly.

“It will go fine,” Anna said with a smile. “You are great with people and once they see that it is a dinner among friends things will be great. Just wait and see.”

Ezekiel loved how Anna made everything seem natural and alright. Especially his insecurities. Like the crew, he wanted things to go well. He did not want to be the rigid and unapproachable Captain. But at the same time, he still wanted his crew to respect him. So it was a balancing act. "You are right, I am just working this out now, so it does not happen when we have the dinner." Ezekiel said, with a nervous grin. He wanted this to go smoothly.

“You will have me to help steer the conversation,” Anna said with a smile. “And I’m sure that they are going to be nervous. We just need to get over the first few minutes and then settle into a good time.”

"I'll do my best." Ezekiel said, hoping he was up to the task himself.

“It’s going to be fun,” Anna said with a smile. “In the morning you will wonder what it was that had you so nervous.”

"I hope so baby, and I know you are right. I just need to tell my mind that you are." Ezekiel said, wishing his mind was not skeptical.

“It’s normal to be nervous,” Anna did with a smile. “And nothing either of us say will make that go away.” She smiled then. “Maybe you need a diversion.”

"A diversion, what do you have in mind?" Ezekiel asked, with a big grin on his face. Hoping he was understanding her diversion correctly.

“You and me,” Anna said, her eyes lit up. “Some alone time in our bedroom, lost in each other.”

"Do we have enough time?" Ezekiel asked, not sure exactly, when they needed to leave for Dinner. He was not a big fan of the quicky.

“We have several hours,” Anna said with a smile. “We have a lot of time.”

"I'm not sure if that's good or bad?" Ezekiel said with the confused look on his face. Having too much time with just let him fret over it more. And he really did not want a fret over it.

Anna smiled at him. “How about I give you a massage, get you to relax and go from there and get you relaxed?”

"I'll tell you what, what about if I give you a massage first?" Ezekiel said knowing that if he started first that she would probably would not get around to massaging him. He had a big loving smile on his face when he asked.

Anna smiled back at him. “That sounds good!” She loved it when Zeke gave her a massage. There was nothing like his touch.

"My lady." Ezekiel said, as the scene starts to fade away, with him leading her into their quarters.

Anna smiled back at him, looking forward to her massage.
