Location: USS Cutlass
Timeline: MD3 - 1500hrs

ON:

“Any luck finding that ship?” Roebuck asked.

“I believe so.” Robinson replied. “They’re trying to mask their warp trail, but they seem to be having trouble. They’ve changed course, ten degrees to port.”

“Altering course.” The Ensign at Flight Control replied as he tapped in commands.

“I’ve heard that name before, ‘Ramon Saunders’.” Carter said.

Roebuck nodded, “Former Starfleet intel and Shadow Operations Operative. After the Dominion War he was associated with Section 31. During the Typhon Pact war he took page in a deep cover operation but was captured and Starfleet disavowed him. He was believed to be dead until he was found in POW camp on Ge’Tura.”

Carter nodded his head, “So he’s pissed Starfleet didn’t try to pull him out.”

“Possibly.” Roebuck replied.

“They’re turning again, coming to course 045 mark 321.” Robinson advised. “Looks like they’re heading for Dreggs.”

“Dreggs?” Clayton asked.

“It’s an old Starbase that was decommissioned in 2354 and abandoned. Since then smugglers have used it to hide, among others.” Roebuck replied.

“If Starfleet knows about it, why haven’t they cleaned it out yet?” Clayton asked.

“It’s a small base within an asteroid field. During the Dominion War it was used by Shadow Ops for our missions. It’s near enough to unclaimed space, as well as Breen and Cardassian territory.” Roebuck explained. “Helm, alter our course closer to Vega, maybe they’ll think we’re heading there and not for Dreggs. Once we’re outside of their sensor range we’ll cloak and move in.”

“We might miss them if we cloak. I’m not sure the passive sensors can keep track of them.” Robinson replied.

“It’s a risk we’ll have to take.” Roebuck said.

“Another twenty minutes on this course and we’ll be outside of their sensors.” The Ensign at Flight Control said.

“And you know him?” Carter asked.

Roebuck nodded. “He recruited me into Shadow Ops.”
