The fleet being light years ahead of the 181st was not new to LtCol. McDaniel as his assignment had him right where he needed to be.

The civilian population vessels also tagged along to follow the starship as they engage the enemy forces. A cause to have armed fighter escorts with them.

This fleet would return the propriators and economial means the station would need once they retook the station. As well as some of the stations political leaders preferred to return this way as well.

" This is Lt Col McDaniel. I have trajected a course that will avail us to enter the Starbase 400 zone once I receive confirmation of victory. All craft will stay in formation and do not deviate on speed or course. If your vessel has problems report to me and a fighter will escort you out of the fleet and stay with you until you make your repairs. Let's Roll." McDaniel instructed the fleet behind him.

The SS Roane, commanded by Korel , took point and guided the fleet back. A fleet of 30 cargo and freighter type support ships on a rag tag quest back home.

During the course back the fleet would only lose two ciuriers to engine trouble but the Roane was able to help tow them to a Tellarite barge which completed the return, for a,modest fee.

Two Days later>

Entering the Kaleb system McDaniel and his 181st halted approach as some enemy ships lurked about. But once given permission the fleet of merchants arrived.

The 181st refreshed and began routine sorties to guard the stations perimeters as the fleet made their repairs.
